As with all my "My own" creations it is intended to be my interpretation of the character as opposed to a lego recreation of the original design.
I'm fairly happy with the results, however it isn't in scale with Cy-Kill, so maybe a larger more articulated version is still to come...
A couple of comparison images. As I said before, the scale doesn't work, leader-1 needs to be much taller in robot mode.
Looking at the design I've tried something new with the telescoping legs, but it leaves the design with a flaw the original toy had - no knees. Also to get the space for the central peg to collapse there is a large L shaped hole at the thigh. I could fill this using a plate, but it would impede the hips.
I'm not keen on how the shoulders look with the cockpit sitting so high on the back, gives him a humpty-back.
Version 2 will be taller, definitely. But I need to figure out the engineering a little better first.

The airplane mode looks really awesome. When Mech mode, I like the symmetry of the legs. But the head part is also very nice. Total of the 'Mech is very aggressive.
I have to admit the proportions aren't right, the backpack gives it a very hunched over look which the original character didn't have and I'm not sure I like. I'm planning on doing a taller version which I can try and iron out some of the issues.
