Bandon's secret lair on planet Kashyyk.
About this creation
Man... This is now the second time I've done this. Stupid server time out... Anyhoo, I haven't done any sort of diorama's yet, and I had a lot of green and brown bricks that I needed to use for something. I was inspired by the game of Kotor, or Knights of the Old Republic for those who haven't played yet. Very time consuming, but very fun. Enjoy!

The secret sith base located on Kashyyyk. You can almost make out the first entrance.

   Here the door opens up...

Once proper ID has been established, the door will open.

   Now it's open.

What secret base isn't complete without a removable ceiling? 2 sections have been removed, the first is the ceiling, the second, is shown attached in later pictures.

The folded item in the lower left is the infamous work bench in Kotor.

What minifig doesn't like to BBQ? Ok, it's not a BBQ, but it works as a great hibachi. Minifig arms also make for great branches.

2 rooms, one is a pantry area, (note without provisions) and the other is where the rest of the work bench goes. You can see 2 lookout windows in trans-green. The tricky part here was splitting the work area and still making it sturdy.

   One of the sectionals removed.

The missing section has been replaced, only to be removed by another...

A different view of the same missing section. Notice the manual door latch. Oh, the green inverted... um, piece is attached, no loose pieces allowed.

The security door in place, the handle is still upright.

The door is open, and the handle is in the open position. (Granted there aren't any real moving parts, but use your imagination!)

Another section, this contains the sliding door. I think I saw this done someplace else, but I can't remember.

Here the door is in the "secured" position.

Here the door is in the "open" position. I think the rock formation turned out pretty good here.

Some of the internals on the door. The roots of the trees on Kashyyyk don't stop for anything.

   Another section removed...

Believe it or not, this is the master bedroom. I know it has a stone bed, but this ain't your Hotel 8.

   An external side view.

Soren, do those branches look familiar? Minifig arms can make for great tree branches. ;) Thanks Soren!!

Another side view, almost like a bird climbing...

Yup, it's very much like a circular pattern.

The light tan structure is removable, honest, I swear it!

   Still swirling...

Top view, I think the bird is ready to land...

   Overhead without the roof.

More of the lookout window. I don't know why, but I think it's neat.

A front (yet blurry) view of the window, it blends in nicely.

Bandon and his lackey's are now ready to get it on!

Nice... it looks like a hobbit-hole from the jungle... with high-tech stuff!

Wow..This is just.. wow. It has a zillion awesome details. But, I agree with the other guy, it needs some more stuff on the interior. Though, these are sith lords, so maybe they really don't need refrigerators, pictures of their wife and kids or pets in their bedrooms, and no email, so..

I reaally like it. It looks very realistic... It kindah reminds me ( a lot) of Bilbo Baggin's home in LOTR. One thing could be done better: The interiors. You need as much detail inside as outside... Great job though!!!
