NOTE: THIS ENTRY TO THE SOUNDWAVE AND SHOCKWAVE CONTEST IS MEANT TO BE A SINGLE ENTRY SPREAD OVER TWO PARTS. BOTH ARE TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT AS THE ENTRY.
About this creation
Well, here's part two. I know I said there'd be a sneak peak at what the helicopter Transformer was going to be, but it's too late and there's not enough light to take a photo. But enough of that, it'll come out when it must. This creation counts as the second part of the entry to the Soundwave & Shockwave Contest. If you want to see part one, click HERE. But enough about what has happened, lets talk about what's happening now. Well, 'still happening'. Have you ever wondered which one was Frenzy and which one was Rumble? Well, the TFWiki page tried to answer this, and it's all up in arms. For the most part, Rumble is considered red and Frenzy is considered blue. However, we're talking G1 here. And not the toys; the cartoon. I'm no Geewunner, but for this one time I'm gonna have to say its absolute. If Hasbro can't figure out which one's which, I'm gonna stick with the G1 cartoon system. This is FIRRIB (Frenzy Is Red, Rumble Is Blue). Honestly, here's why. Frenzy's red because red symbolises blood, insanity and, you guessed it, a 'frenzy' (lower case because not the name). And Rumble's blue because Frenzy is red. Get it? I bet there's going to be a LOT of arguments for and against it once people start reading this, but I'm sticking too it. There are no exceptions. This is my final decision. Frenzy is red and Rumble is blue. Any questions? Good. Now, I'd better not see any comments in the comment section saying otherwise...
...
...oh, who am I kidding. People's bias will make it happen anyway. Well, before you comment, know this; I DON'T GIVE A S**beep**T.

Okay, so moving on. Here we have Rumble (blue) and Frenzy (red). You may notice something similar about them. Can you guess what it is? They're repaints and slight retools of G1 Micro Megatron. Yep, I'm still planning on buying him to go with my Optimus Prime, but that'll have to wait a while.

On the back, you can see that these guys have two pegs. One lies on the back that allows for storage on the turret that the other Cassettcons form. The other is on the shoulder that allows Soundwave to hold them as guns.

Despite their small side, they pack decent articulation. The legs only move in and out, but the waist turns. The left arm (right on Rumble, the blue guy) is on a peg that gives it similar articulation to a T-joint, and the right arm (left on Rumble, the blue guy) rotates 360 degrees. Also, I'm using Frenzy as an example, because I like him better.

The gun mode is rather similar to Megatron, only the arms have been changed. The piston arm becomes the scope and the other arm just folds in and allows him to be held. On Megatron, it forms a stand because he's to big for any other Transformers to hold.

From the other side, you can see how the pegs allows him to fit onto the turret.

Here we have both Rumble and Frenzy in their gun modes.

You can see how they store on the turret here. Sadly, they don't face forward, but its better than nothing.

Now, moving on. You can see Soundwave's hand here, right?

Well, zooming in, you can see it fit on...

...like so!

And zooming out, it's a pretty good fit indeed.

Well, moving on, here we have the behind the scenes (BTS) look at how I designed Soundwave. I bet you thought he was all LDD, didn't you? Well, no. I always build my Legoformers (well, not always, but mostly) IRL before putting them into LDD. But this time, so that I could get better results, I made the main focus the LDD. Enjoy these photos in the meantime that show how this was made. Also, sorry about the bad quality. My camera wasn't working, so I used my Nintendo 3DS.

And finally, to finish off, here's what the LDD file looks like. You'll get all this when you download it. And remember, no plagiarism. You can make a Soundblaster version of this, use Rumble and Frenzy in your own designs, use some techniques or anything you like. But remember this; QUOTE ME. Put a link back to this page and make sure you say 'I didn't make this, Declan Muller did' or something. But other than that, there's nothing else to be done. Don't forget to vote for me over at the contest and as always, happy building! :)

Quoting MEGATRON THE DECEPTICON Neat Rumble and Frenzy.I like how Soundwave can use them as guns.
Thanks.
Quoting andros tempest On their own the little rumble and frenzy are pretty cool. I love the idea of minicons and target masters and these use the best of both concepts. The turret assembly might benefit from being more compact, it is nearly as large as the rest of the model.
Ah well, nothing's perfect. The Megatron mould worked really well here for the Targetmaster style. I was actually inspired for these guys by another fansproject, where Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Rodimus Prime all became weapons.
Quoting Evan Botkin Nice job! I like that they become guns but I think you could have differentiated them a bit besides just colors (and come on, everyone knows Rumble is the red one =P) but otherwise they look great! Good luck in the contest!
I think the identicality (is that even a word? whatever...) is actually one of the things that defines them, so I'm going to have to go against that judgement. And no, Frenzy is red and Rumble is blue. :P
