About this creation

Well, here we go folks! Another set review for you. Here we have the DC Superheroes set, "76012 Batman: The Riddler Chase". Shown here is everything you receive; Box, two instructions manuals, comic book and the set itself.

Let's start with The Riddler's Drag. Although it looks very flimsy, it's actually not. When it's built, you don't really notice that it's very long and flat. The engine is a nice design. The rather large tail fin is a bit wobbly though.

At the back, if you rear the dragster up, it pushes off this 'bomb'. Here you can also see the money sacks strapped to the back.

Not onto the Batmobile and I must say, I really like it! Overall it looks very good!

The front of nice and aerodynamic(ish).

The rear has two...um... engines? Not really sure to be honest, this is the worst part of the design. You can also see the lever for...

The flick fire missiles! (What else would it be?!) The rear section tilts up and the missiles (blue studs) launch out. I really like the look of this back section, however, I dislike the fact that it doesn't connect properly when it is down, so it is constantly at a slight angle.

I also dislike the fact that the only way to get into the cockpit is to take the glass off completely. I would rather it have been hinged one way or the other. However, it is a nice, sleek design.

Onto the figures. The Flash, Batman and The Riddler. All three are exclusive to this set in these variants. The Flash is brilliant, although I'm not entirely sure why he's in the set, other than to make people buy it. He does have a double sided head too. The Batman suit is a nice new variant and appears to be based on the "Arkham" game series, however, he still has the same two sided face. The Riddler's new costume is nice and snazzy and features lots of zips. I love the new hat too.

The backs. Here you can see both Batman and The Flash's other faces. The Riddler, wearing a hat, doesn't have one.

And here are the spares that you get.

Build:8/10
Figures:10/10
Pieces:7/10
Playability Factor:10/10
Value For Money:8/10
Overall:8.6/10

Review:
A very fun set if you like to play with your Lego. The Batmobile, even with it's flaws, is chunky and nicely made and The Ridller's Dragster is better than it looks. The three figures are exclusives and are all very nice. I'd say it's nearly the right price too. Maybe a few quid too much but I'd say it's worth around 24.99, so the RRP of 29.99 isn't bad at all. A very good set overall. If you can get it cheaper, then as always, do so, but I bought this at RRP and am happy with it.

Yeah, I also bought this set for the figures, mainly the Flash. I built the Batmobile, which looks great sitting on a shelf. I didn't bother with the Riddler's dragster, but I might have to revisit the engine now that you've pointed it out.

I bought this set really for the figures. Great review!
