The Ludgonian Industrial Union understands that it can be hard to maintain supply lines to your troops on the field. We also know that full size dropships make large targets for your enemies. With these two facts in mind, LIU engineers have sat down and designed a new breed of dropship, the small LIU Fast Drop.
Instead of landing, like traditional dropships, the Fast Drop drops its payload to your men below. This allows it to stay at a sufficient enough speed to dodge enemy fire. It also makes it harder for your enemy to see where your troops are positioned.
The front of the Fast Drop sports a detatchable cargo container. This is filled with supplies for your troops, transported to their location, and dropped from low altitude.
Large air scoops force air into the Fast Drops jet engines.
A single pilot flys this unarmed transport.
The cargo container is unlatched and begins its descent.
There it goes....
The container has a small thruster to keep it upright and slow its speed.
This container is loaded with barrels of grain. I guess its bread again for the soldiers...
After the drop, return to base, reload, and do it all again.
Note: You could place a soldier (or maybe two extra friendly soldiers) into a container and drop him into battle, but we don't recommend it. The container's small thruster is known to fail which is an acceptable risk for supplies, not soldiers. But, what do we know, give it a shot.
