This was built with an old X-mod from Radioshack as reference.
It's certainly not my first R34 attempt, but I think it might just be the best. Possibly.
Low-down front angle.
One more view of that uber complex front.
The side, which was quite the hassle. Building a Porsche 911 with skewed proportions will still yield a car that looks right. NOTHING makes an R34 look like an R34.
A sort of artsy view for you lot to enjoy.
The back, armed with a full compliment of Clikits taillights.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Even more artsy views! I must've been particularly inspired during the photography session. Perhaps I was listening to a recording of Gandhi speaking?
Under the shiny bodywork lay the working goodies from my RX7 fb. (For accuracy, of course) So this thing has some clunky MacPherson struts up front and trailing arm + Watt's linkage in the back. Classy.
Unlike the other things in today's posting extravaganza, this MOC has been taken apart and it's predecessor completed.
I don't think I convey the oddity of posting a car that's already been dismantled.
It's even got a spacious boot! It's practical! Buy one and take your 2.2 children to the shops!
Only one of the doors can open.
I might have been lying.
The hood rears up like an angry herd of Godzillas to reveal the engine.
RB26DETT engine. I might have gotten that right, but engine codes are still a bit of a dark art to me.
The dashboard, good for deflecting mud and stones kicked up by the horses' feet. Oh wait....
Some seats from an Rx7 fb, just like the suspension.
I don't think we've got enough of the 90's here yet.
This definitely is one of your cars that definitely hit the spot. Some of your cars are less successful, some are great and this one is one of them. You are truly a master of regular type vehicles. It's nice to see that people do something else rather than all the Porsches, Ferrari's and such
Wow! This is great! I may have to steal, erm, borrow some of those techniques. And it's an RB26DETT (the 26 is for 2.6L, the RB20 was in earlier skylines and cefiros, but was only single turbo). Shame you've pulled this apart already :-(
