MSX-07B Blademaster Gundam KAI
A bit late, but it's finally here! Introducing, the Blademaster Gundam Kai! For this unit I've increased the number of armaments, since I felt that the old one was lacking in the number of weapons it had.
About this creation
You can read more on this unit's background here

Armaments:

Anti-Ship Sword (x2)
Beam Saber (x2)
Beam Boomerang (x2)
Beam Shield
Beam Pistol (x2)

I was thinking an awful lot about what the original unit was lacking and I had to realize that it didn't have any ranged weapons(even if it's a melee specialist suit, it needs at least some ranged weaponry). So I added two Beam Pistols and Beam Boomerangs(I know it's silly but awesome at the same time...), and with this the unit has a bit more variety...and tools to kill...

Chest detail

Backpack detail(this is my newest backpack design for gundams mostly)

Skirt armor

Arm detail(right)

Arm detail(left)+ Beam Shield

Head detail (One of my newest Gundam heads that I improved over the years)

Leg detail and articulation

Beam Saber

Beam Boomerang: The BB has a small built in thruster that helps the weapon's "return" after being thrown

Anti-Ship Sword

Anti-Ship Sword Staff

Grabbing the sword

Reaching for the Beam Pistol

Beam Pistol: A low powered but long range pistol that has enough power to tear trough lightly armored targets

Beam Sabers

Beam Boomerang throw sequence 1.

3. "Catch!..."

Anti-Ship Sword Staff in hand

Compairson shot with the old model

The blademaster, facing off with one of my newest enemy grunt unit designs, at this time it doesn't have a name yet, he'll get some more variants and love later...

...until then he stays as a target board for the boomerang!

Thanks for watching people! Don't forget to rate and comment your toughts down below!

Quoting Marcus J. Nice, the heads cool, reminds me of the aegis somewhat.
Thanks, the idea originally came from the Aegis because I wanted some variety for my gundam heads.

Quoting TF Twitch Seeing as how I like the older version so much, I am really impressed with the KAI upgrade. I like that the basic Bright Bluish Green color scheme was kept. At first I was saddened by the lack of gold being a prominent color, but the new color setup really does work well. I still love your Anti-Ship Sword design, of which I may have to "borrow" some day. The new head gives it a sort of "samurai-esque" look to it, which is fitting. Does the pilot still collect Mobile Suit trophies?
Yes, she does, tough I was a bit lazy to actually show that, maybe in a dio with the others after all of them were shown. At first I was planning on switching the entire color to orange and use the previously made backgrounds that I got from a fellow MOCer, but as they all represented a theme like "Fear"(that's the orange one) and "Strenght"(The current color scheme). I've decided to stick to "Strenght" because it better suits this unit. I've 7 colors in total, so 5 goes for the good guys and 3 for the bad guys(so there will be 3 more Gundams, but on the opposing faction plus a super machine that's not a Gundam).

Quoting Winter Nis Nice unit upgrade, the sword, and cockpit details are particularly great. I'm really interested in seeing the white unit from your preview.
Thank you! The white unit will be presentad last, due to the fact that it's the model I've spent the most time on and put the most effort in it, and still(!) trying to improve it. All I'm going to spoil tough is that it's the protagonist machine and as such it's as strong as the other four together.

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Giant swords plus Gundam = awesome! Giant swords plus really well-designed Gundam = awesomer! I've always admired your head designs, but the newer design is one of the best I've seen! I'll probably steal...er...borrow that idea and your foot/leg design as well. Beautiful!
Thanks! I'd be glad to see what others could do with my designs in real bricks!

Quoting Chris Roach yep transforming mecha are on the "to do" list I was going to do a Zeta Gundam a while back but went on to other projects instead. Will get to it eventually.
I've also built the Zeta once, but only the humanoid form, I could never do the transformation. It's hard to do in lego, tough it depends on the scale, but I think you'll pull it off.

Quoting Stephan N A very successful presentation. The weapons are a special visual treat for me.
Thanks! I usually take a lot of time to come up with the main picture for a presentation, then I do the rest as I move on. Tough I really have a hard time with some poses or mechanics I want to show off but doN't really know how it would be best.

Quoting matt one A top creation, a real masterpiece! Significant improvements compared to the previous model. The head, in particular, is great! Is there a chance to see your works and images on Flickr?
I wonder what people's reaction will be when they see the Icarus in action, but that'll have to wait a bit more. The head on this one represents my current standard for Gundam heads in terms of detail. I tought about joining Flickr before but couldn't really find the time to do so nor the motivation, but I might start posting my things there too. Altough I'm not sure if digital builds get enough attention there.

Quoting andros tempest I LOVE IT! The weapons are beautiful.
Thank you! I didn't change anything on the Anti-Ship Sword, it's still the same as the old one. The rest however are new, tough I myself think that they tured out a bit simple.

Quoting Chris Roach very well executed!
Thanks Chris! Have you ever considered to build a transformable Mobile Suit/Mobile Armor from the Gundam series? There are quite a lot of them, and I'd love to see you do one with your masterful transformer skills!

Quoting Christian Bish This is awesome, though too bad you didn't show the comparison of the original one with this but that will not here the presentation. Any way man and if you have time after you are done can you make a custom MS from a fan of yours.
Problem solved, thanks for pointing it out! I'll think about it, tough there are a lot of models in the making right now, so I'm not sure when I'll be finishing this.
