The first version of my life-sized Walther PPK (Pistole Polizei Kurz or Short Police Pistol) replica was originally constructed in June 2011. I decided to give the model another look-over this July (2014), and have made a few improvements.
-The trigger now uses the 1x1 cone/Viking-horn piece combination which I originally developed for my M249 SAW (and am adapting to use on my other guns).
-The trigger can now be pulled back, thanks to a simple (and very compact) rubber-band system. In the past, Ive been hesitant to use rubber bands due to their relatively weak strength; Im starting to find better uses for the official LEGOŽ elements, though, allowing me to capitalize on their flexibility in a small amount of space.
-The sloping between the trigger guard and the muzzle has been smoothed out with an inverted combination of tiling and the new 1 x 2 curved slopes.
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!
Your PPK is really nice and it has a good amount of realism. I also like the functionality you have. The one improvement I suggest it to find a way to SNOT build the grip, maybe with a combination of slopes and inverted slopes. I particularly like how you used the grill pieces toward the rear of the slide. Very nice work.
