The Hobbit: Dwarf Kili
Possessing the fine eyesight of youth, Kili is master of the bow.
About this creation
And, from any angle…

Kili is definitely a Looker!

Heirs of Durin... Fili, Thorin, and Kili!

4th wall:
Yes, the bowstring is a LEGO piece! It’s a Scala dog leash! :)

Quoting Michal Hennel I like how your characters still retain their physiognomy and other characteristic features :) Also, they look as healthy balanced - not too heroic, not bulky, not dilapidated, just ... strong :)
Thanks Michal, your comment meant alot to me because I strive to portray exactly what you saw! :)

Quoting Nick Barrett Killer use of the dog leash. Literally...
How did you know I had just finished watching an old British P D James dvd where the murder was commited with a dog leash?! :)

Quoting David Alexander Smith Dog leashes, skipping ropes, they all get reconstituted.
Yes, perhaps whips and fishing rods might be too?! :)

Quoting Cheryl P A really neat creation. I like your choice of parts. Well done.
Hey thanks, Cheryl! I often try to use something from a LEGO 'girl's' line... just because this place is sooooo male dominated! :)

Quoting Andrew Alexander. What a robotized dwarf... Looks like middle earth meets Sci-Fi! :P great bow! I love the way it's made.. Again.. Great dwarfs.. :P
Thanks, Andrew! But I can't take all the credit for that bow, as a curved double blade weapon of Breeze's(hero factory) gave me the idea. :)

Quoting El Barto ! Great idea for that bow! Still looking forward to your command carrier ;)
Ooooo, I have stuff to do for you, Frank and Stephan N! Great challenges for a mediocre builder! Be patient with me! :)

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 very well balanced and proportioned! nicely done Topsy!
I've had this on/in my mind and had to complete it. Now I hope to get serious with the character stuff/page soon! :)

Quoting L.A. Miranda Wonderful! The bow will be the main attraction (it looks great!), but I'm actually more impressed with the work on the Mata torso. The shoulders and the hair look amazing. A quite consistent and good-looking creation, dear! =D
L. A. is alive! He lives! He survived all his math classes! Yeah! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Quoting Dr. Monster I also like the bow and arrow very much, but the hands stand out for me as well. They hold the bow very well. Cool figure.
Thanks Doc, I tried my best to remember how I held a bow long ago when I took archery in a PE class! That's the best I could manange due to some limitations with finger spacing! :)

Quoting Mark McPeek Fantastic work! I really like the bow!
I knew I had to build him with a bow, even tho it's the movie, not the book, that shows it as one of his weapons. :)

Quoting Clayton Marchetti He is truly fantastic! I love his bow and arrow. Magnificent!
Thanks Clayton! Fili used to be my favorite dwarf that I built, but I think Kili has now taken that spot! :)

Quoting David Roberts He does have a slightly short yet powerful look to him. I love how you've found a genuine Lego part for his bow string. I also like how you've made his arrow: I had to look for a while to work out that it won't fire. Then again it won't fall off his bow either! I also like the tyres that make to top of his socks!
Yes, but how do you know that arrow might just mysteriously slide off that bowstring attachment. Strange things can happen in middle earth! ;)

Quoting Stephan N If I see it this way, I would say you should you specialize in Mech's. Really absolutely outstanding job. I like the bow especially. But the proportions and details are awesome.
Thanks Stephan! I have thought about trying a mech, perhaps one day? I know mine would probably be a mix of bionicle and system parts. Glad you like his proportions, I must admit that I too am rather pleased with them! :)
