A spikey, funky-looking spaceship with some fun details. Inspired from various Star Wars kits.
About this creation
So this is my very first MOC (of any significant size or complexity). I learned a lot in the process. I borrowed heavily from experience building the official Star Wars kits, but I hope it's still somewhat original in design.
Influences:
Wings - UCS Rebel Snowspeeder
Top detailing - UCS X-Wing and UCS Y-Wing
Engines - Star Destroyer
There are some obvious weaknesses in the design: the cockpit has really limited visibilty. The wings are kind of funky. I could probably have done more wing detail, but the cleanness of it appealed to me as well.
Please leave me comments and suggestions and constructive criticism. Also, go check out my Buy Me a Lego project and help me get the UCS Millennium Falcon. Thanks!
A top view of the model, showing the general structure of the model. Large wings above and below, central engine mounts, machinery, cockpit, and forward nose with weapons.
Side view showing legs. I'm not really happy with the legs--I think if I were to redo it, I'd build it on a display stand.
Closeup of the machinery detailing--my favorite part.
Rear view of the engines. Kind of simple, perhaps not entirely finished in some areas.
The intimidating front view.
Another overall view, with a Tie-fighter pilot in the seat.

Pretty good, so far it is very bare, with little amounts of greebling. You achieved a shape which is very hard to get. I commence you on that. The front is very cool, but bare sides is not the best part. More detail and greebles would make this perfect. |

Well, I am impressed- first MOC or not- this is good. Excelent use of weird angles, greebles, and downright original designs. I like the engine particularly. Bravo, so keep up the good work. |

Nice use of angled panels, and your use of greebling is excellent -- it fills in all the gaps perfectly. |
