Greetings humanoids! Just a short snd sweet page here; an alternate 7695. Upon spending all of $7 on this smallest edition to the Mars Mission line-up, I noticed a few design features that could do with a bit of a rework. For one, the canopy faces the wrong way and looks totally unrealistic (don't even get me started on the lack of airtightness!) The engines are merely decals and there's no landing gear. I realise it's intended for what? 5 to 8 year olds but C'MON PEOPLE!
Anyway, my upgraded design features streamined canopy, landing gear and proper engine exhausts, so there!

Ok, it's like, way smaller and stuff..

Apparently when we reach Mars, shaving will be a thing of the past...and we'll learn that Martians are decended from green jelly babies..

Gear up. Apoligies for the dark photos.

"Arrggh! No control sticks - I'm doomed!"

legos version of the astro fighter was.......okayyyyy,but I agree the cockpit stank, and no controls, the pilot lies on his back and cant see where he is going, and there is a HUGE gap in the between the cockpit and the........ship?idk

I agree totally - the orginal set is a bit on the lame side and yours is actually better considering that there's not much you can do with a set of minimal parts such as this. Still, Lego does this every so often *"oh look, we've not used these pieces in a set for a while, just chuck em' together whilst wearing a blindfold and send off what you end up with to be mass marketed!"* Still - Thank goodness for the combined imaginative talents of us MOCers hey? Nice Work Shagga.

Considering the small amount of pieces you had to work with, I think you've made a big improvement over the official set.

And once again we're posting MOCs within hours of each other... this is starting to get freaky. Anyway, what official Lego vehicle DOESN'T have design problems? I think the last one that I built the actual model of was Striking Venom, and don't get me started on how flawed that thing was. I think these Mars Mission sets are horrifically ugly, but you've made a nice alternate from one.
