A weathered dark gray gunship. One of the best of my stuff so far (I think).
About this creation
The Falken. I love the way the weathering, striping and checkers turned out. A sweet ride, if I do say so myself.
A rear view of the gunship, showing the radio (tall slope behind cannon), exhaust, and tailfin. This project completely exhausted my supply of bley/dk gray, which is the original reason I threw the gray 'paint scratches' onto the wings-I ran out of parts. When I found an old, dusty dark gray project long forgotten under the bed (:P) , I liked it so much that I just kept it on.
The landing ramp. I thought this turned out well.
Lowered. The gray slab inside is the back of the gunner's chair. You CAN fit some troops behind the gunner if you want to- (I squeezed six guys with weapons in there.)
Intakes. Another part that I really like. The striping grey/bley color scheme was fun to do and not too difficult.
The cockpit. A first for my MOCs is the blue HUD panel. I like the doorway.
The pilot's chair, doorway, and gunner in background.
One rear landing gear underneath the wing.
Forward gear, just under the stripe.
Don't argue with dis bad boy.
Zoomed out stripe view. Another of my favorite ships.
I'd have to agree with you - looks great to me! It could perhaps use a little variety on top in lieu of all those slopes, but it still looks fine - motley colors and all. You seem to have really captured the look you were going for, and that's what it's all about. Good job!
