METHOD: I first decided to make this Grievous when I saw my little brother come home one day with the 'General Grievous Starfighter' set (7656). i was appaled at the shoddy-ness of legos "Official" Grievous. so i made him a new one out of bits and pieces from my vast lego collection. The outcome is pretty good but i was missing a piece of which i needed 3 of and could only find two. INFO: General Grievous is one of the most highly skilled warriors in the history of the galaxy. In both the Clone Wars series and Revenge of the Sith, he is portrayed as a ruthlessly effective hunter of the Jedi, able to destroy several of that Order's most Powerful warriors with ease. Although not force sensitive like the Sith Lords, he is a skilled user of the lightsaber.
About this creation
The bits I used to make Grievous and Lightsabers.
Here are the leftover pieces from the "Official" Grievous.
Add a coloured cape, a white head, a black stick and two yellow cones and...
You have a MagnaGuard!!! i said before that i wasn't happy with the "Official" Grievous' skinny body, but it's ok for a MagnaGuard to have a skimpy body because he's not really that important (click on the picture and you'll notice that grievous has one saber is his bodyguard's head)!
My Grievous has 10 whole points of articulation!! WOW!!
Grievous showing off his new multi-jointed arms.
pretty kool, huh? Here are some instructions so you can make him aswell.
I gave him skeleton legs so he had the same range of leg motion as normal mini-figs. The piece holding the legs to the circular brick is hard to see here but you will get to see it closer in a minute.
This is the main body for Grievous. The longer stud at the top is for his head, with the circular stud from the above pic attaching to the shorter, lower stud.
These are the arms. i decided to give him two grey arms aswell just to make him colourful... sort of. Here you can see the piece that couldnt be seen on the legs...yeah...
This is his limbs together, just not attached. I managed to cut his legs off in this one...whoops!
I replaced the guns to put in a Missile-Rack, also i made him more WHITE
please dont get angry, i like the official more. ive seen tons of grievouses built of bricks, i admit yours is the best, but i really dont like anyof them. he looks a little to top heavy and has stubby legs.
Wow, this is awesome. The legs seem a little low, the hands are attached to the shoulder on one side, and his body's a bit round and could be a bit more smooth, but other than that, this is awesome. It looks somehow familiar though. It's really cool how many points of articulation it has. Can you put the arms together so he's got two, like you can on the official one? Thanks for the review on my yavin temple, and i'll hurry up and finish the version 2.
