Eurusian Troops
The infantry branches in the Eurusian Federation Armed Forces.
About this creation
Eurusian Troops
The Eurusian Army has several different types of troops, each adapted for different combat situations. Ranging from regular infantry soldiers to specially trained elite forces, the Eurusian army is prepared for all kinds of warfare.

From the age of 18, all Eurusians must enrol in the Army for a period of at least one year, unless they are regarded unsuited or unsafe for military service. Most of the young ‘first timers’ are enrolled in the Infantry, which is the largest and most numerous component of the Army. People can apply for officer-training, but must then pass a number of tests of physical and mental health. After completing the two-year training course, the graduated officers can enlist in the Infantry, apply for pilot-training at the Air Force Academy or apply for the Special Forces training course.

The Eurusian military consists, as Eurusia itself, of people of many different nationalities, including soldiers from other NADC countries (North Atlantic Defence Coalition). The language used mostly in the Army is English. This eases communication with other co-operating soldiers, in example other NADC soldiers, UCF forces or soldiers from the GU.

The Infantry:

The Infantry is the largest component of the Eurusian Army. This is where most of the young ‘first timers’ enrolled are assigned to. The Infantry is usually present in any combat situation The Eurusian Federation might be involved in, either as fighting units or peace-keeping forces.

The Eurusian Federation Commando Corps:

SPEAR (Special Assault and Recon) is the second largest component of the Eurusian Army, and the largest component of the Special Forces. Having gone through the officer-training and a rigorous special training course, this all-volunteer force is highly skilled and disciplined in combat tactics. SPEAR units are often the first on the spot in any hostile situation requiring military force, and many of the soldiers have extensive combat experience, having been deployed in various hostile situations around the world. The SPEAR units are often referred to as ‘Zebra-squads’ by other troops, due to their distinctive face camouflage. The Eurusian Commandos are similar to the British SAS and the Delta Force or Marine Corps of the American military. With the modern battlefield demanding highly skilled combat troops, the Eurusian Commandos is the fastest growing branch in the Army and the generals’ and strategists’ preferred ground combat units.

Spec-Ops:

The S.T.A.B. (Special Tactics Airborne Brigade) divisions are the smallest component of the Eurusian Special Forces, but also the most skilled and disciplined. Trained in guerrilla combat tactics, and utilising light fast-attack vehicles (FAVs), motorcycles and air-drops, these forces operate in small teams deep behind enemy lines. Missions can include sabotage, kidnappings, hostage rescues and assassinations.
Spec-Ops have been claimed to have participated in several “grey operations” not following the rules of engagement, though this has never been officially confirmed. S.T.A.B. divisions are similar to the American Navy SEALS, and they have supposedly worked together on several occasions, though this information is classified.

The Arctic Elite:

The Arctic Elite is an army division especially trained in winter combat. Wearing special uniforms with full-face helmets for protection against the freezing cold of the Arctic, and the Eurusian winter, these forces conduct operations most often in Northern-Siberia, but have also been deployed to various other locations demanding winter combat tactics. Sitirian forces have also reported seeing Arctic Elite troops in the Himalayas, though this has been denied by Eurusian military officials. The Arctic Elite often utilises snow mobiles or skis when operating in snowy regions.

The Presidential Guard:

These soldiers work as bodyguards for the President and other key members of State, but are also trained in counter-terrorism tactics and hostage rescues. Soldiers in the Presidential Guard are often handpicked among infantry officers and the Eurusian Special Forces.

Pilots and Vehicle Commanders:

Soldiers who have gone through the officer-training, can apply for pilot training at the Air Force Academy, but can also become Commanders in military vehicles, such as tanks. These soldiers get to drive the most modern military machines in the Eurusian Army, engaging enemy forces on the ground as well as in the air, and bringing troops and vital equipment to the frontlines. Left to right: A combat helicopter pilot, a fighter pilot and a tank commander.

Evan: Naaah...

John: I used Star Wars Rebel soldier uniforms for the SPEAR units.

Karrth Sair: I based the Eurusian military insignia off the SW Rebel insignia so that I could use lego parts with Rebel insignia prints. (i.e. Luke's pilot helmet)

Update: I have changed the main photo with one without banner. I agree it was a bit too similar to the SW Rebel Alliance insignia.

Fantastic, but having those clones as soldiers in the 21st century doesn't seem right. And they are not too original. But everything else is really good. Keep up the great work.

That Spec-ops vehicle reminds me of the one in Battlefield 2! Moving on, these are some great troops. Well done!

(Forgot to comment -_-; ) Anyway, Serpentio must have some pretty effective infantry- hopefully, that'll give them a chance against the SPA if they try another invasion...

Very nice, even if the banner looks too much like the Rebel Alliance insignia, try using something more original.
