i don't know if you have ever read Sphere by Crichton (same guy as Jurassic Park) but one of the things they discuss is the anthropomorphic problem. this pretty much sums up to this: every alien the human race conceptualizes on a regular basis is has a head, legs, arms, is sometimes humanoid, and resembles earth life in some way or another. if i were you i would make your next alien well.... more alien. i may have misunderstood but if unless you were making a zenomorph then try to follow my advice. feel free to e-mail me!
