Really wonderful work, and I have no clue what else to say |

Soval would think that one of his ships was coming home from combat on Andorian borderlands. Very realistic. 5/5 |

That's a beauty! Love the elegant design, and technically superb :) |

Wow, I completely missed that the front is tapered too. I thought the transition point near the hull was just a seam for disassembly and transport. Very clean.
I guess part of why this appeals to me is that I'm using nearly the exact same technique (beefy brick/technic I-beam, hinged side sections and snotted bottom) to build the front end of a Stargate Universe Destiny SHIP. The long fuselage on it sticks out over 130 studs from the body and sags a bit over an inch. Hopefully my spine will keep the SHIP looking as straight as yours when it's done. |

I really like the subtle tapered tail. Would love to see how you did the angle transitions at the body and tip.
Is the frame Lego, or did you have to cheat inside? The whole thing is incredibly straight.
It is 100% LEGO, no glue, no 'cheating'. You are the only person to comment on (or perhaps even notice) the tapering. There is a brick built I-beam that runs the entire length of the ship, with a strong technic beam spine on top of that which helps to keep the entire length rigid and straight. The forward and rear fuselage walls are hinged off the I-beam, producing the taper. The tapered fuselage sections transition from a width of 14 studs to 10 studs over a length of 80 studs. |

Regarding the ring: Start building a wall out of 1x2 bricks. Notice that you are able to force a curve in the wall, because each connection pivots on a single stud. If the wall is large enough, you will be able to force it into a complete circle. The ring used here (and for the Arcturus 'donuts' as well) is 96 1x2 bricks in circumference, which provides ~62 brick diameter. This technique has been used extensively in many other MOCs (boat hulls, etc.) |
