One of my favorite things to build is iconic, pop architecture such as that of food chains. Most people can recognize it from the styling of the building, even without any stickers or signs, and get a kick out of looking at such a model.
Watch for cars coming out of the parking lot! The model includes the typical Steak 'n Shake two-doors-on-an-angle thing, as well as the black-and-white awning.
The model even includes a gumball machine in the foyer. The model has a full interior, but I haven't quite finished it or added minifigs yet. Once I do I'll probably add more photos to this page.
Very nice Peter! It´s clearly recognizeable as a food chain store. Your town buildings look quite amazing. Where are you from in Michigan? My wife´s American, and a Michigander:) So I know the area around Tecumseh, Adrian, the one around Ann Arbor - and a little bit of Detroit... Do you guys have "Pick-a-Brick stores in America? If so, is it cheaper to by certain pieces in masses there? Best regards, Steffen
