The ship is based on the Classic Space LEGO set 6980 Galaxy Commander. I re-imagined it as part of my favourite theme: M-Tron. I built it back in 2002, but have occasionally updated a piece or two. I took it apart recently and decided I should get the photo's online.

Built: 2002.
Status: Dissembled.

The exposed studs and non-SNOT building techniques make me want to cry... but in a good way. They remind me of the days when people didn't use mucus secretions to build perfectly slick LEGO creations. Things had studs; things had CHARACTER! And LEGO made cool Space sets. *prolonged sniff*
