Another of my own creations to be added to my Star Wars Expanded Universe collection...... enjoy!
(LAAE - Low Altitude Armoured Escort)
The most common LAAE-series model was the LAAE Gun Hawk, a light but well armed escort craft and mobile gun platform used throughout the Clone Wars. The LAAE Gun Hawk could carry cargo up to 4 tonnes when required but were predominately used as recon scouts to assess the enemy field situation before bringing in the larger craft. Larger cousins of the LAAE such as the much used LAAT were modified to carry multiple military speeders or deploy larger war machines, such as walkers, onto the battlefield whereas the Gun Hawk has remained almost the same since it's initial production.
In addition to the limited LAAE variants, there were several other gunship models that both pre- and post-dated them and were designated with similar acronyms. Most notable were the AIAE gunship, the VAAE light transport, and the HAAE-201 gunboat. (under construction...)
Nice. The color scheme is great, very star-wars-ish. I love the fins coming off of the sides. My only problem is that it has just a bit too much going on. Over all, though, great job. Also, the landing gear is great.
Bob, I love this ship! it has a real wasp/insect type feel to it that gives the the creepys. I'm adding the following review for your Geiger moc. It wouldn't let me on that page and I figured you'd look here first... All your heroes, classic. Iím really looking forward to the further adventures of heroes such as the Montezuma kid from Mexico, please donít ask me to explain his power, The PMS Princess (who only works one week a month) and the AFOL Avenger, working 24/7 to rid the world of HALO mocs one Warthog at a time. sorry I had to take up so much space on this page. Later ~ Chris.
