The newer Assault tanks have been built due to the oncoming LIU war. These are more advanced than standard, and uprated battle tanks. They are armed with twin Mortar cannons and rotary machine gun turrets, commandeered by other troops. These tanks can be dropped through a planets atmosphere, due to heatproof plating on the underside.
