About this creation
Movie-accurate minifigs based on the second Lord of the Rings film, the Two Towers.
Please pay a visit to my personal
website, where you can view ALL of my LEGO customs and more:

Since MOCpages won't disply both pages of my Brickshelf gallery, I'll have to add the images on the second page manually...

"I'm wasted on cross-country! We dwarves are natural sprinters! Very dangerous over short distances..." - Gimli (movie)
These are the main three fighting characters in the fellowship, excluding old men, hobbits, and people that get killed. Consequently, they are also the three playable characters in the video game. The movie of the Two Towers has them running through the plains of Rohan together at the beginning.

Not quite Helm's Deep, is it? I know, but until I make a Helm's Deep playset, if I ever do, you'll just have to work with me here.

"Before Sam could get a hold, long legs and arms were wound round him pinning his arms, and a clinging grip, soft but horribly strong, was squeezing him slowly like tightening cords; clammy fingers were feeling for his throat. Then sharp teeth bit into his shoulder." - The Two Towers (book)

"Where is the horse and the rider?... Where is the horn that was blowing?... They have passed like rain on the mountain, like wind in the meadow. The sun has gone down in the West, behind the hills... into shadow." - Théoden (movie)
Though you can hardly see it, Théoden has a custom face decal just like Éomer. And, though you can hardly see it, he does have a beard. He is seen here in his battle armor. I prefer to make minifigs in their battle armor. That's why you'll only find Éowyn in her battle armor in the Return of the King page.

"This is no ordinary rabble of mindless orcs. These are Uruk-hai. Their armor is thick, and their shields broad." - Gimli (movie)
The one thing that I have never seen customized well online is a Uruk-hai. There are amazing models of Helm's Deep out there, the like of which I could never hope to build, but the attackers look more like an army of Sith than Uruk-hai. This can be excused since the the builder had to make so MANY of them, I guess, but... anyway, here are my Uruk. Yes, they all have different heads. I made the Uruk-hai blade (held by the one on the left) by taking the rifle barrel I had cut off to make Solid Snake's pistol for my Metal Gear Solid customs and shaving it to be thin using a fingernail file. His shield is merely a decal I drew and pasted on an official LEGO shield. It doesn't quite cover the original print entirely, but I was too lazy to correct that. The Uruk on the right is a berserker. Those are the bigger, almost naked Uruk-hai with the huge, two-handed blades. His blade was made by cutting the ends off of a pickaxe and sticking it into a grey lightsaber handle.

This is just a little battle scene I did of Gimli, Legolas, Haldir, and Aragorn fighting some Uruk-hai. Yes, that Lurtz fighting Aragorn, and no, he's not supposed to be in the Two Towers. Just pretend he's just another Uruk, okay?

"Then one rode forward, a tall man, taller than all the rest; from his helm as a crest a white horse-tail flowed. He advanced until the point of his spear was within a foot of Aragorn's breast. Aragorn did not stir. 'Who are you, and what are you doing in this land?' said the Rider, using the Common Speech of the West, in a manner and tone like to the speech of Boromir, Man of Gondor." - The Two Towers (book)

I never could make a face decal for Éomer that I really liked, but finally I settled on this one. Once again I have used my Liquid Snake hair on another minifig. I paid a lot of attention to the details on Éomer's chest decal. It wouldn't have looked right if I hadn't. You can see him with his helmet on his horse in the Return of the King section.

"Remember today, little brother." - Boromir (movie)
This is a scene that was cut from the theater version of The Two Towers. You can see it in the Extended Edition DVD, however. I liked the scene, even though it differed from the book a little. Here you can see my LEGO Faramir and my Boromir in Gondor armor. I used that white tree a lot...

"Gandalf... That was what they used to call me. Gandalf the Grey. That was my name... I am Gandalf the White." - Gandalf (movie)

Though I already said it in my Fellowship of the Ring section, I have to say it again: no, my Gandalf is not the same minifig as my Saruman. He has a different head, staff, and chest decal. Look closely. I wish I could have cut his beard shorter so that it would be more like the movie and so you could see his chest decal better, but I'm running low on white wizard beards!

After looking at all the other custom Gollums online, I decided I didn't want to make mine standard minifig shape. He had to be skinnier and more hunchbacked, so I used a Life on Mars alien body. I paid close attention to his head decal, and, even though you can't see it here, he has strings of hair printed onto the back of his head. Here he can be seen with a fish leading along Frodo and Sam.

"An alliance once existed between Elves and Men. We come to honor that allegiance." - Haldir (movie)
Haldir is the leader of the Elves sent by Elrond to reinforce the Men of Rohan at Helm's Deep. He is killed in the battle by the Uruk-hai. Yes, I used the old Liquid Snake hair AGAIN. It's a bad picture, but he actually has eyebrows...
