This is probably going to sound crazy but I would love to create an Invisible Hand just like the one that you have made here, which is nothing but outstanding. Can you give me any tips on if I should do it or not?, Is it to strenuous or how to go about it, as I have never done anything like this before, however I have been really inspired by your work of art after considering making the Venator.

For the most part, no. Although, I did detail out the hangar bay area, including movable grappling hook for the transfer of small ships and cargo.

I can appreciate his frustration if that was the case. Some of us are very glad he didn't get banned, though. Of course, if it were a just world, Mon Calimari would be holding that no. 1 position right in front of Goldman's Zero Hour. Unfortunately, the spamming is out of control and any glory that comes from the ratings no longer holds any real meaning. But maybe that's best, as what should be most important to us is the building itself.

I bet the guy who spammed this was upset that the top 5 mocs of all time for a number of years had been awful CGI models. I also bet he was fully expecting to get banned for doing it ;)

You have way too much time on your hands.

I actually prefer the Rusty Ferret, but there is no doubt that this is an(other) utterly outstanding MOC. Great details and the colour scheme works really well. Something that keeps me awake at night on my own MOC, i.e. will it look like a flying carton of grey milk. The WIP journals on how you put these marvels together is also well appreciated, at least by me!

It did, yeah. We found that a member (who shall remain anonymous) actually spammed the daylights out of this page...in a good way. I think he was annoyed that this was getting trumped by other less deserving pages that had been bolstered with false "I Like its" (ILI), and fought back on my behalf. Sean erased all of non-legit ILI's here, which left the numbers where you see them now. Now if we could just level the playing field by eliminating all of the spammed ratings on everyone else's pages. That's why I always tell builders not to put too much emphasis on the numbers. Unfortunately, we just can't trust 'em these days.

This is a SHIP that deserves to be the most popular MOC on the MOCpages. There are many reasons, one of them being that even though you could stop at 100 studs to make it a SHIP you went over double that! And that's truly a feat worth praising. There is truly much detail put to that, for instance the escape pods or the LOTS AND LOTS OF ANTENAE! In all my years of MOCing (it's been half a year posting on MOCpages) I have never seen a MOC of this quality. If anythng could make me speechless, this would do it. Most certainly. Back to the MOC, shall we? Stripes add beautiful detail and the greebling is nice, although simple. At least it's not too messy, right? The engine shot is perfect and the fact that it's an optical illusion (that's the only way I could explain it forming into a donkey if you look at it one way) is just breathtaking. And because I couldn't talk about it, I started writing. Sorry, is this thing getting a bit too long? It seems to me that way. It's size is rather satisfying, I must say, as I've said in the beggining. A SHIP this long deserves a comment equally long! Now for some criticism: Nothing is forced or imperfect in this MOC, although it has a problem with something else. Not enough detail shots and the size of photos is rather small. I belive that this pretty much can't even begin to describe the genius behind this design and scale. Or the money put into it.

If some glitch/hacker can add 3500 ratings to a moc in less then a day I say it's time to overhaul the rating system, why bother having ratings at all if they're all lies? I think the number of ratings a moc should have should be the EXACT amount of people in the "See who likes this" tab. That means no more ratings without an account. Since computers can't make an account automatically thanks to the e-mail safeguard, this would be a perfect solution.

LOL. No, it was pretty much as difficult as I expected! Actually, the truth is, I didn't know what to expect when putting this monstrocity together. I just knew it was something I wanted to do, and felt like I would somehow manage to handle any difficulties that arose. It wasn't so much building with confidence, but more building with ignorance! Fortunately, things worked out, but I had no idea what I was in for when starting. Glad to hear you're still moving along with the Lamborghini...can't wait to see that finished!

That's the actual size, although the pic you see there is a superimposed image of myself in front of it (good ol' photoshop). You can see other pics of me working on it in the Journal entries that should also give you an idea of the size.

Sure thing i will have to take some screen shots, and i will get it to you tommorrow as it is on a school computer. Its not perfect, but i thought it came out nice, i am entering the design in an Art show, not sure if it will win, or get any recognition but i like the final product and am proud of my work.

Yeah, actually I think that would be the way to handle the proportions issue. I've thought about it being a little too thick, but actually a bit more length to the central section might have been the way to go. Oh well...it's long gone now. Hopefully the next big SHIP I put together will be better proportionally.

I think the length is good, but it's a bit too thick IMO. If I had it to do over again, I'd shave off an inch or two in the bodies thickness.

Hey Mark, I have a quick question. For my project of building an Aurora clas ship from Stargate, i was kind of stumped on the design. Anyways i came up with a solution ( And probably a very costly solution) i was going to completely restart the ship and construct it in 3 diffrent kinds of interlocking modules using a techic frame. Have you ever tried building a four foot long ship using a modular system for the ship, and by modular i mean identical componets that can be added on to one another. And if so how stable was it and if you did what were its flaws and how would you recommned fixing them.

This is just amazing. I can't think of any flaws whatsover. Except for the movie. Have you ever wondered why everyone can stand up on spaceships in Star Wars? Because of gravity generators, of course, you say. They were even around back in the days of the Millenium Falcon. Oh really? Then why does the gravity suddenly shift on the Invisible Hand when the ship points towards the planet? Did the gravity generator move? And then move back again when the ship leveled out? Yeah, explain THAT one to me. But anyway, the ship is almost perfect!

Yeah, I knew you were 13. If people saw what I built when I was 13, I'd get laughed off of MOCpages. It's astonishing what you've done so far. As far as competing goes... I'll let others compete if they want to, and I'll judge to be nice, but personally that sort of building isn't for me. For me, Lego is creativity and personal expression, not a sport.

Very nice a master peice with your ship building skills i bet you could build an AWSOME stargate Aurora Class ship. I really like the greeble effect by the shield generators and i also Admire the sheer size of this great job.
