About this creation
Woah I finally got the inspiration I needed to make a new MOC. And I finally decided to make a brick-built grunt figure. I did not feel satisfied with using the minifig body to make a grunt. For it to be accurate it had to have an original body design. This design is actually relatively simple and easy to make. I received enough requests, so the instructions have been posted. Here are my 2 grunts, a red major, and a white ultra, they are both wielding needlers. Please note this is based off the halo 3 grunt which has the breathing apparatus.
I have now posted step by step instructions for my grunt, use the menu to find them.
This is my red major
My white grunt ultra
I think I captured the stocky shape of the grunt well
Side view. I bet its hard to walk with those huge triangular breathing apparatuses. The lego is not exaggerated, those things really are long, just find some pics on google.
The back.
An important feature is that they can hold normal weapons, grunts usually have plasma pistols like this.
Kamikaze Grunt! These are only in Halo 3, they suicidally run at you with 2 active grenades.
its also cool how in halo 3 the breathing apparati on their back explode if hit.
This was a very nice surprise, the grunt perfectly fits into my ghost with no modification necessary.
Some action photo of my ultra
Another cool pic, arm bent for the pose.
And last but not least, A good view of the grunt.

Fantastic, I don't know if they are to scale, but I also don't care. Their guns are awesome too, esp. the Plasma Pistol. Keep up the good work. |

Friggin sweet, everything looks perfect, it just may be a bit to large for a grunt, though. I Think it's way better than scorp's, though (sorry, scorp) |

Incredibly impressive! The weapons could use a bit more work, but the Grunts are great! I love the Grunts. They're funny little guys, like Jawas in Star Wars. Anyway, excellent work. |

Although I still think a regular minifig body looks fine for a Grunt, I do like these a lot. Like 'em better than Brian K.'s brick-built grunts, even! My only complaint is the goggles on on the helmets - those look distinctly out of place. But otherwise, very good job! |

Probably the best grunt I have seen yet. It captures the feel of a grunt perfectly without missing details. Mind if I borrow the design? I'll give credit. Also, do you think you could post a size comparison to a minifig? |
