This Yacht is over 1 1/2 m long and it is to scale for Lego sized people. This ship contains over 10,000 pieces of Lego. It can accommodate 14 guests and 20 crew members. This project took me 1 1/2 months to build. I did not keep the ship I had to disassemble it for the making of Cancun Airport. Sorry about the cruiseship. It didn't work out with Carnival Cruise lines. Their is a lot more pictures of "The Yacht" on my website. See my website http://tedfred.com/epmlb/
About this creation
This picture shows the engine room. It also shows the engine control room and where the engineers sleeps. The red beds are for the guests and the blue beds are for the crew.
This is the bow of the ship. This houses the two tenders and the helicopter. You can also control the anchor from here and is a great spot to view when entering or exiting the harbor. You can also see some of the crew bedrooms.
This is the main galley it is where all the food is cooked and stored in a walk-in refrigerator. This kitchen never stops 24/7 it is always working. You can partly see the penthouse suite. In front of the kitchen it has a cream colored bed with a big bathroom.
This shows deck three. In this picture you can see the bridge which controls the ship and where the captain and first officer's work. You can also see the captain's bedroom, a lounge with a bar and out on the patio you can see a table and chair set.
In this picture you can see the recreational vehicles. There are two jet skis and a 20 foot boat. You can also see part of the bar, bathroom and the radar tower.
The ship is at port and loading up for another voyage out to sea.
Please answer my other question about the carnival ship but.....I made a yacht like yours a bit bigger but and taller with more stuff and im not bragging but it has working lights I cannot post it because I barely know how im kinda new to moc pages but any way see you around buddy -Kade groh-
This is an exceptional ship. I positively detest the ships that have plates on top of each other for hulls, but this one is not like the others. The detailed interior is the envy of us all ,and I wish it was still together. You should truly consider sending that design into lego. It has all the qualities LEGO must be looking for: color continuity, accessories, staircases, easily removeable layers, and sound construction. The only downside is the cost due to the number of pieces, but I'm sure the general public would be willing to pay for this superb example of skilled construction. Bravo!
Nice job!!! Although I tend to build for aesthetics, it's great to see MOC's done with this kind of playability. love some of the interior work. Hook me up with one of those jet ski's and sweet spot somewhere in the Caribbean!
That is an impressive boat! And you said you´re working on a cruise ship? Can´t wait to see that!!! I´d love to build huge things like your yacht, but then I pretty much couldn´t do anything else anymore out of my Legos:)...
Do you have a cheap source for parts?
Ho do you like my cargo plane, by the way?
