I already wrote a lengthy description of my 3.0 build of the Imperial Shuttle so I won't go into any of the old stuff. However I will point out that I remodeled the cockpit so that it is more realistic. You will notice the windshield is 3/d and seemingly homologous instead of tiles on the sides. Also the nose is better conceived and shaped, AND the length is just right finally. The best part is all the angles are fully realized and yet, the entire cockpit lifts up to reveal the inner cabin. Also I added some technology greebs right under the nose... just for fun. Lastly I made the laser cannons that extend from the round fuselage a little bit sturdier because they kept getting knocked off way to easily.
Hope you like this new version which a member on Scorp's lego site inspired me to go the extra mile, and, viola- the new, much improved cockpit. So thanks to Question Mark if you read this for your input and to everyone who has been very supportive of my efforts. This is now version 3.1 and should be the last... but you never know ;)
I have added some interior shots due to popular request. Thank you.
Right, this is the best Lego Lambda Class Shuttle I've seen. Impressive in size, function and detail. It's quite an achievement to fit all these gears, lighting AND that amount of figs in the fuselage and still have a great looking shuttle. Masterpiece!
thats a great version! i like the ramp a lot! Thanks for reviewing my A5-RX juggernaut. I would add wider treads if I had them. since im stuck with thin treads, i dont want to make the body too big so that it looks out of proportion. yes, i have limited options when it comes to building...
"Imconceivable!" -The Princess Bride. This is an incredible creation, far surpassing just about every other Lambda class shuttle I have ever had the privelidge of seeing. And we both know there are a lot of them.
