This a model of the famous Pitts Special aerobatic biplane. You know, the one you often see at airshows.

While browsing though brickshelf I came across a digital model of an aerobatic biplane that looked strikingly like a Pitts Special. Airshow aerobatics is a huge interest of mine so I just had to build a real Pitts model. The biggest problem is the struts, one of them was stepped on and is badly damaged. It doesn't really hold up to close examination, but generally looks fine in the pics.

I largely re-created the digital design I origionally saw, but since I don't have an unlimited number of pieces I had to completely redesign a lot of things as well. I also increased the wingspan, which looks much better in my opinion.

The origional was red with white stripes, I had a larger supply of blue bricks so mine is blue with red stripes, and gray wings, and white struts... whatever...

And at the controls is captain Reck Less. He claims his name means 'Wreck Less'. But most people pronounce his name 'Reckless". After he damaged a jet doing a loop, the airline sent him off in their aerobatic biplane to advertise them at shows and earn back the money for the repairs.

Unfortunately this model has been deconstructed for parts so it cannot be improved. Feel free to comment.
