Here is my daughter's next castle - version 2 (actually about v6 or so given the ones that have been partially built then destroyed); and, as you can see, a work in progress (WIP).
It has been stuck in this state for about a month now for lack of bricks. For the longest time the bright pink bricks (the lighter pink) have only been available in 2 X 4, but then Lego in their wisdom came up with the Pink Brick Box . This box included such wonders as 2 x 3 and 1 x 2 bricks in bright pink - yippee!
Even more fortunate for my daughter and I, Mr. Jin Wong owner of NinjaPrincess, must have bought several hundred of these and parted them out; which allowed me to order 2,500 bricks and slopes to go towards this castle.
Anyways, this is the basement section and start of the next floor. My daughter chose to use purple to divide the dark pink from the bright pink - a choice that I fought at first (I was pushing for light purple) until she showed me that she was right.
There is a lot of work to be done yet, and some structural changes. The cliff face needs to be widened, a small island needs to be built, the supply ship for the dock is also a WIP, etc, etc...
Of course this whole darn castle is designed this way because my daughter fell in love with John Langrish's Stoneguard Hold
Now, of course, we are limited by the lack of different types of bricks, and general availability ($$$$) of pink bricks, but so far, so good.
It will be a couple of months before it is done, but I hope you enjoy the start of this creation.
I've seen it a lot of times before but never reviewed it ?! Its a so enjoyable MOC. I wish I had enough pink parts to make a build like that ! Love the towers and well, everything. I don't mind if it's supossed to be "girlie", it's really nice like that !
Its unfortunate that they don't make a wide variety of pink parts. Thats a cool technique for making the towers round.

I am totally drawn to this like a moth to the bug zapper. *BZZT!FOOMF! Your daughter is so lucky. My dad only complained about being impaled by my LEGO in the middle of the night on his way to the bathroom. Speaking of bathrooms..thanks for stopping by and commenting on mine. I'll be posting another room today so keep an eye out!

man i cant wait for this is looks realy good
the pink colors are great check out my new glock 26 btw!
Finally, a progress report! You had better hurry up with this, because there are a few hundred people in the world waiting for your kids to have an all out war in lego!!! As far as this goes, excellent so far. Once again, give your daughter my props. Also, do not forget the siege engines at the end (namely, trebs).
I have an easy choice for the island, if you have seen the newer bionicle that are actually minifig sized, well i got a set and there is a island look alike piece thats grey like rocks you could find on bricklink, it is actually a very detailed piece, theres one problem its only the sides theres nothing in the middle, but a simple 2by2 piece with a tube coming from the bottom.
Lookin' good, Lee! I feel like I've fallen down the rabbit hole with those funky pinks - actually it's a lot of fun to see a castle done with so much color...and pretty rare colors at that. Pink rocks, baby!
