"Hagfish", a space pirate minesweeper. I got excited by Uspez's
variarion on a theme ships (using the blacktron style cockpit
and only 2 colours for the body) and after some searching
tracked down a few hex trans pieces. Here's the page where he
explains the rules: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/46200

Story notes: The Hagfish is a small ship used by a space pirate clan to
clear various important shiplanes and escape routes. The ship
has been decorated with teeth from the real Hagfish, an aquatic
carnivore of the planet Lios. Should the minesweeper be
discovered by any space police, sections can be jetisoned
for a quick getaway.

Build notes: This is a nod to the JU-52 used by the Luftwaffe as a
maritime minesweeper, with the ring feature.

The white and D.Bley I've used arne't exactly the nicest colour combo are they?
I decided to keep the trans colour consistant on this one but isn't critical.
I couldn't find any 3 panel trans pieces on Bricklink for
the centre section so I've inprovised a little.
Hope that's ok Uspez? The ring encircling the ship actually
came about quite late into the build. Luckily cuz it's quite boring without it!
Oh, and the white teeth pieces were also last minute; I originally had 1x6 antennae.
But it needed a bit of personality ya know? Variation No.2 is coming soon...

PS: Uspez, is this guy building for your comp too?

Not sure why space pirates in the future flying spaeships
still have wooden peg legs but there you go.

Plan view.

Underbelly.

'Mohawk' spine jettisoned...

...and part of the ring

Looks a bit nnenn-ish eh?

Now for a quick getaway!

A really neat take on Morbo's "Variations" this may be one of my favorite ships of yours. The design as a whole looks really complete, and the concept is quite creative. Great job.

I like the color combo. The grey main body makes the toothy details stand out nicely, and the green trans bits add a nice maritime feel, like seaweed and murky scummy water. Arrrr...

Another fine creation. Maybe wood is so rare in the future that a wooden leg would be seen as a status symbol? Lee.

Oooooh wow! The Hagfish style screams Shannon Ocean! Man, the way you put the cockpit together is pure genius! The white and dark bley are perfect for the trans-green canopy you chose too. This has a lot more personality and awesomeness than anything I made, seriously awesome!

Interesting looking spacecraft, like the use of the bionicle elements, very sleek and smooth.
