Corner Tower
Undead, beware!
About this creation
When I first imagined making this, it was just one of the wall sections included. It started with the design for the battlements at the top and then got larger. Then it sat, like lots of my largest MOC's have, largely unfinished. Then I thought about adding a gate and ended up with a tower. Then I decided to make another wall to go with it. The rest is basically history.

It started with multicolour trees (Some red, some yellow, and some green) to add more colour to the model, but then I decided against it as they just didn't look quite right. The tree design idea is from Anthony Sava.

All I can say is that I am SO glad I ordered all those grey bricks!

The size of this MOC surprised me actually - It was planned to be less than half the size originally.

I also played with putting other colour bricks in the walls to look mottled, but I didn't like it as much.

One thing I really liked about this is the fact it looks completely made of 2x4's. (Or 1x4's, although I didn't really use any)

One thing I think turned out well is the effect of the plant bottoms used like this.

Note to any of those people who say they would like to use the crenels on their own MOC's: Beware of the cost of 1x2 tiles in grey!

To keep the 2x4 effect going where not possible, such as between the crenels, I used 1x1's instead of 1x2's so the splits between bricks still lined up.

Question I've always wondered: What do the blue and yellow trim's on the Black Falcon shield mean? Are they rank or sub-faction or what?

Yep, a cauldron of boiling oil. This is the middle ages, people!

Two more Black Falcons running off to the battle.

The undead attackers are doomed to failure - They have a strange inability to even lift a spear.

This was my sad attempt to have one setting the tree on fire using a torch. If you don't like it, disregard and move on!

The dark leader himself! (Or was it herself...?)

Some people seem to like the weapon design - It was a complete accident. I like it though. Just a black spear and a black gear together. The only problem is the gear slips easy.

Another undead trying to set a tree alight - This was one of the original trees. I was running out of green bricks with the others so unfortunately they are small.

As you can see, there is no real interior besides a brown floor. I would have liked to do one, but the way I built it didn't allow for it to open, so there really was no point. Besides, I'd already done a tower before.

I really like this pic, it shows just how tall it really is.

Another pic of these nasty, barbaric oil boilers!

Sorry for the slight blur in the pic.

Another view of the undead leader and two henchmen. The undead attack was a complete spur-of-the-moment idea. I almost did the MOC with no figs, simply because I lack enough castle figures.

I'm not a huge fan of building towers and diorama's and also I don't have as much time as someone else has to build one like these, but when someone else creates this "hood of the king", I'm really astonished!

I would buy that for $100 but if you sold on ebay and insisted on paypal then I would not because pay pal is stupid, and if I was allowed to spent $100 on ebay. I like the huge basic ness, sure thousands of details are good but so is room too play. Although to make this really cool, some Barrels and torches wouldent hurt

Totally awesome. the best you've made so far. I love the crenels and the windows. I usually dislike castle MOCs, but this has to be an exeption. The simplicity of it is amazing. It's ashame it doesn't fit in with CCC standards, but their standards "restrict the flow of creativity" as one of my lousy art teachers once told me. Brick on, man!

I don't normally like castle MOCs, but this has an old school look that makes me see just how beautiful this thing is! Great work on usig basic bricks to achieve such an excellent finish! Nice little details too, LOL!

Nice job--the smooth look is effective; and the landscaping really adds a lot. You should try taking a few pictures with a dark background; kind of a night "attack of the undead" thing :D

This has got to be one of the best castle MOCs I've ever seen! I love the terran and the wall is great! Some times plain gray walls look dull, but not in this case. I just wish you had enough bricks to make the other three corners and a gatehouse!

Nice, the construction is good. Also, I like how there are now studs showing on the outside. Plus, the undead guy with one leg made me laugh.

Very nice. I love how you made the comanders spear. The trees are very nice. You showed that you don't need to use wall peices.
