I liked the Island Racer car but wanted to know if it came in black.

I'm not much of a car builder. Most of the wheels would be gathering dust if they weren't packed in plastic bags and stuffed into a dark corner. But I did like the Island Racer. And that guy has a hook hand. How cool it that?


I couldn't make the car the same. That hump part in the back does not come in black. I used curved parts on the back and a tile to smooth it out. I also left out a plate in the front of the car to lower the hood. I think it makes the car look more modern. The 1950's over the 1920's.

I didn't dress Baron von Barron up the same. I think he loks more jaunty, and carrying a pistol out like that is just asking for trouble.

I agree, it looks much better in black. the hood and rear that you customized look better than the original, like you said, 1950s over 1920s. try building variations of the set in other colors as well, maybe tan? ~Luke
