This is basically a Mod of the original Slave 1 set. There were some aspects of it I did not really care for, color scheme being one of them. (comments on the pictures are above the pic they reference, not below)
This is a close up of the cockpit. I removed the spring launcher to make room for an expanded chair for the pilot. I felt the console was sadly under detailed. Notice the pair of Ion cannons on each side of the hull?
This shot has a closeup of the improved weapons system. My Mandalorian pilot, obviously has more sensibilities than his comrade Boba... At least his lego counter part. As I was saying. I felt the original set was rather under armed, so I beefed them up. I did not like the rotating laser cannons, as they felt rather flimsy. They were replaced with a more solid angled connector, and only face forward. Also, The little round bulb at the bottom was replace with a support extender, and a trio of blaster cannons were added to the bottom. I dont think you can really notice it, but I increased the length of the spine by 4 studs. This was the beginning of my studless compulsions. It gives it a worn look
This is a shot of the modded cockpit. The other was sadly under detailed, and now that I look at these, mine isnt a whole lot better. I took these before I made numerous visits to Bricklink to beef up my control panel stock. Anyway, I added an actual chair for the pilot, along with joysticks to actually fly it. He's got a small readout display, along with a little armrest panel, and a nifty flashing light to tell him when he's about to get vaped'.
Lastly, this is a shot of the pilot himself. I figured it would be weird to have Mandalorian in green armor, in a Black, Grey and Yellow painted ship. Alas, here he is, in his painted glory. I dont think he came out half bad, I kind of like the weathered look he has to his armor now.
