If you look closely, you will notice the miniature satellite dish on the right , and a small exhaust pipe on the right. This is the next generation planet exploration vehicle. Its small size makes it quite maneuverable and avoids detection from alien species on unknown planets. This vehicle is driven on a planet's surface, while the people inside extract data from its surroundings and sends data via the satellite back to its HQ. Once safe, the astronaut himself will exit the vehicle and with proper gearing, set foot to find rock and samples of the environment.
This is the Space Rover from the rear view. Did you notice the hinges in the back???
Tada! a rear door horizontally opens to reveal a second cockpit. This cockpit is mainly used to display the status of the vehicle and to communicate with the headquarters. A computer is located inside so Astronaut Green can transmit photos and discoveries back to its headquarters on Earth. The Sun roof also opens! There are 2 air-tight cupboards on each side of the computer for putting luggage and important documents.
Another view of the second cockpit. the Rear cockpit is connected to the front, so two people could freely communicate with one another. The gauges display the vehicles current status.
Astronaut Green peering out from the back! = D
Astronaut Green with his lifeform detector gun, ready to go on his adventure!
I like how it shares some common features with the Ranger without looking like you just took a spacecraft and slapped wheels on it. the front of this ship is great -- I like how you arranged the black pieces to look like vents. Awesome job!
