Zombie Apocolypse: Grocery store and gun shop
This is my first ever attempt at the “zombie apocolypse” theme. I had looked around on brickshelf and mocpages, and got various ideas, such as Austin’s wall crack idea from his hit series, “Endsville apocolypse.” A recent trip to one of the few exclusive Lego stores, I had gotten a lot of 1x2 sky-blue blocks, as you can see. You can also see on the inside, that I had also gotten at LEAST 75 1x4 brown studless tiles, which I used as wooden planks. I will later post the survivor bios, for those of you who wanna know. This is a front view of the whole thing. I know I probably should’ve made the sidewalks with studless tiles… but did you honestly think that I had enough to do so? I oughta slap you.

The survivors were lucky enough to be trapped in a grocery store and a firearms shop, two essential things for survival during a zombie apocolypse. The team consists of 6 men, one of which is yours truly. I’m the one with the brown jacket and gray beanie, one the second floor. That actually looks almost just like me. Really, it does!

This is merely a glance at my full weapons collection.

The grocery store’s owner happened to also live in the second floor of his own store. So they managed to find some blankets and pillows, both of which are considered very rare luxuries in an apocolyptic environment. They also found enough supplies in the basement to last them for about 6 months, along with some books. Ironicly, one of the books is entitled, “The Zombie Survival Guide”.

These two jokers are gambling their daily rations in a simple game of cards. Their addiction could easily become the death of them.

There I am on the left, chewin’ on a slightly warm chicken wing. Bill’s over there in the corner, talking to me about politics or something. I don’t want to hear about Obama vs. Hilary, and at this point, having a staring contest with the cat we found in the grocery store is more entertaining.

This guy was obviously in such a hurry to leave, that he overheated his car, and his engine exploded. Poor guy.

responses:
SAMUEL: No, I don't have any kind of...diesies? I think you meant "disease". That's my sigfig.

Mikey:It's not THAT dumb of them... it's not like the zombies are smart enough to use guns. And besides... the door is barricaded with 250 pounds of barrels.

Crow: Thanks for the nice review. But I'm afraid I can't connect them. I don't have any of those cool town buildings, mainly because they're so %$#@ expensive. I suppose it would look cool though. If I ever get them, I'll be sure to try it.

Very very cool! It all looks so real/textured/like its hapenning! Here is just what I notice now that I like (there's so much stuff happening in this), the tufts of grass, the brokenness of everything, Cat staredown :), the colors of both builings, the overall size of the MOC. This is truly inspiring, great job!!! Ben

HA! I thought of something funny when I saw this MOC: What if you could connect this with sets like Green Grocer or Market Street and the rest and changed tose around to match!? Or didn't change the sets and just connected them? I think it has potential.

What diesies do you have? ive never meet anyone that has yellow skin, holes in there feet and legs, no knees, elwbos, ankles, or wrists, 4 fingers, and a sqaure torso. If you look like that guy then you gotta get your self to a doctor. Great moc

This is very good! The two buildings look very nice, and that light blue one adds some nice colour to the otherwise bleak scene. Also, I love how you detailed the interior of the stores. Too bad my neighborhood doesn't have a Gun/Grocery shop. And that ruined car is great. Excellent work.
