Stormtroopers-1917
1917-German stormtroopers overrun the Italian trenches at Caporetto during the Austrian-German offensive. To clarify confusion regarding WWI equipment; by 1916, the Kaiser's forces did indeed make use of stick grenades(Stielhandgranate), steel helmets(Stahlhelm) and flamethrowers(Flammenwerfer).

One of my great-great grampas died on the Italian front, though he was an Alpine specialist, so he didn't take part in trench fighting. Great vignette!!!

Nice work, pal! I wonder why there are no Spanish Civil War vigs or MOCs (which I would like to try out but I have neither the right pieces nor the right colours or figs... YET), so I was thinking that if you made a try it would certainly come out right, at least from the setting/landscape point of view and the weapons... Anyway, great setting, great figs.

Good vig. They did use stick grenades in WWI. However i dont think they used flamethrowers. I could be wrong, but.....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Stosstrupp_2.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Stosstrupp_2.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stielhandgranate I think this is great. I wish there were more WWI MOCs. The military section seems dominated by WW II stuff. I included some links to show the doubters that the helmets and grenades are indeed accurate.

Awesome. But only one thing: Those Germans look like thier from WW2, not WW1. They also are using those stick-shaped grenades, which I think weren't used in WW1.

Cool vig; I was thinking of doing something similar for Anazc Day in April. The rain on the bricks gives a nice impression of those waterlogged trenches. Here's another cool idea for a vig in that battle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Caporetto

Very nice job, especially the sissy running away. Black and white photos are a nice touch, highly detialed trench [for a vig], 5/5.
