Yuuzhan Vong Firebreather
About this creation

You have to love renforcments.
A football on chopsticks. That happens to be extremely large and can spurt torrents of fire from it’s bloated body sack. Yep, I finally have a Vong vehicle of destruction ladies and gents. My sincere apologies if it doesn't look very good to your eyes. I'm new at the 'organic' look nessescary for Vong craft. This started out as a ‘let’s change around the scenery from my ‘Battle of the Burning Plains’ diorama so I could display the Firebreather at work, then I borrowed my friend’s AT-ST because I have the original (which is insanely incorrect) and wanted to have a good item to compare this to. Also, I seem to remember reading there were AT-STs with the New Republic forces on…. Man, forgive me I forgot the name of the place it’s been four years since I read New Jedi Order Agents of Chaos 2: Hero’s Trial. (first NJO I read)
I then decided, if I was going to add an AT-ST I may as well add some New Republic soldiers like in the reference picture from the New Jedi Order Sourcebook. Then I got the crazy idea to construct some Yuuzhan Vong foot soldiers to fight the good guys. After that we got the Drexl Gang (see my skipray and Z-95 headhunter in the Classic Era folder) now working as mercenaries for the New Republic. I imagine Captain Tiraff’s obsession with Jedi had something to do with it.

Every Lego flame I own…wish I had more…

Size comparison for your viewing pleasure. I don’t know if everything is scaled properly. Especially the firebreather; it should be taller but stability issues wouldn’t allow it. In other words I’m low on money and getting lazy in my old age.

Yeah, the amphistaffs are lousy. But I don’t have enough parts to make more than one passable one so I just gave them rattlesnakes. You cannot see it well but one of the chaps is holding a bug of some sort to throw at you.

The New Republic warriors were thrown together at the last moment and it really shows, I honestly don’t want to use my Rebellion guards since this is circa 25 ABY we’re dealing with and an entirely different foe. Please note the sniper has a mechanical prosthetic eye to help him see heat emissions and other invisible light wavelengths.

And the Drexl Gang is back folks. The Gang has been my largest venture into the strange realm of Star Wars fanfictions and I intend to keep it that way. Those who have seen the crew on their previous appearances will notice armor and weapons upgrades and that Ketri’kiean’bintanro grew her hair out. Well, after the Empire stopped cracking down on piracy and Black Sun and the Hutts were scrambling to reorder their crime syndicates after the deaths of Xizor and Jabba things got a tad easier for freelancers with their own pair of excellent starships. Once Captain Tiraff realized the Jedi Order was back in business he decided to avoid any confrontations with Kyp and his comrades and go legitimate. Okay, semi-legit. From the right to the left: Ketri’kiean’bintanro, Chiss exile. Keterak Shayy: crazy fish dude, need I say more? Captain Tiraff Yun: Old, but not THAT old. Yet. Deirdre Fegnn: Lorrdian bio scientist turned gunrunner, turned gambler turned space pirate turned mercenary. Think you she’s feeling dizzy yet? Tarein Numb: Now armed with strength enhancing gauntlets, the little Sullustian pirate can hold even larger blasters than before.

First off, Gyndine is the name of the planet. Now onto your MOC. It's superb! I've been thinking of building some Vong tech, and I think if no-one's inspired after seeing this thing then they'll never be inspired! Wow. I also love the Gyndine scenes! Try putting some AT-ATs in there too- there were AT-ATs at the Battle of Gyndine! Also, don't forget Leia!

I wrote a long comment on this once, but it screwed up and didn't post right, so for now I'll just say that it looks like a tripod from War of the Worlds. Good job, and could you please post some pics of the construction if you do build a Sun Crusher?

(Faints in awe, then burnt to cinders by the firebreater.) This thing is massive! And you have so many flames! I have also made a Drexel Gang like crew. It's in the star wars minifigures folder on my site.

It's fairly accurate, but 5/5 for stepping out on a limb with a creation NEVER done before.

A cool rendition of the real thing mate, and a bizarre one at that! Good job on making it stand; the head looks heavy? Don't worry, one can NEVER have too much fire pieces...
