These guys were completed 8/12/2004, pretty much my last batch of Halo 1
figs until I made my improved Marines in 2006.

At first I was hesitant to even make them, since, to be honest, I wish
they hadn't been included in the game. I know a reason for Halo's
existence was necessary, but really, did it have to be alien space
zombies? I get so sick of zombies. It's like there's a secret law
somewhere that a zombie, or something as close to a zombie as possible,
must be included in EVERY video game ever made (except those which stick
to 100% reality, like tactical shooters and RTS games). Think about
it... can you name a sci-fi or fantasy game that doesn't feature zombies
at some point?

One thing Ryan and I liked to do, after we finally got used to the
Flood's disgusting existence, was blow off both their arms and their
head, and then let them follow us around. Once you remove all their
limbs, they're useless, and can just stare at you and gurgle, twitching
their feelers. Unfortunately they never seem to be quite so placid in
Halo 2...

The Monitor is a bit more friendly... at least until his sinister
plan (or, well, programming) is revealed. This is 343 Guilty Spark, the
Monitor of Installation 2-7 (I think that's right), which is the Halo
that the Chief lands on in the first game. The Monitor thinks the chief
is the Reclaimer, sent here to cleanse and activate Halo.

The Monitor has no method of attack, but he can call in his
Sentinels. At first they're a big help... until they turn on you.
Luckily for you, they aren't completely indestructible like their little
lightbulb of a master.

In Halo 2 you can pick up the Sentinels' laser beams after you
destroy them. That game also features golden Sentinels that fire more
powerful, blue-colored beams.

As always in every game ever made, the shotgun is the most useful
weapon against the zombies. All of the Covenant guns are relatively
useless, although the lasers of the Sentinels seem to work just fine.
