On any other day, his attention would be on the officer providing his daily report on the rebel spies. But not today.

The Dark Lord walks calmly past the holoscreen. When he is just out of sight of the officer and his incessant rambling, Vader allows himself a moment of solice, removing his helmet.

The synthetic flesh that covers his skull reacts to the cool air in the hyperbaric chamber that the Sith lord designed.

Here, in his private residence on Coruscant, Vader remembers.

On this 31st day of the tenth lunar cycle, Vader remembers.

His helmet carelessly laid on the table, the Dark Lord makes his way to the transparasteel viewport.

He almost doesn’t realize that he isn’t actually looking out the window at the skyline of the city in the distance. There are many things that Vader remembers from his distant past. Many things he would prefer to forget.

He remembers the slaughter of the Tuskin Raiders that killed his mother, decades ago on Tatooine.

He remembers that fateful duel with his accursed former master, Obi Wan. A Duel that left him merely a shell of his former self. A duel that changed the course of his life forever.

Vader turns and looks over the cityscape in the distance but his vision is clouded. He can see only… her. Today was their anniversary. Today, Vader remembers.

Something the officer said brought Darth Vader back from his memories. A transmission was intercepted by the Alderanian Princess aboard her ship the Tantive IV. The ship would be coming out of hyperspace over Tatooine very soon.

The Dark Lord of the Sith informs the officer to prepare his shuttle. He will be there when the ship comes out of hyperspace. He will take the princess prisoner and retrieve the stolen plans. Very soon, all will be right in the galaxy.

FORTH WALL COMMENTARY- I know a magician isn’t supposed to reveal his tricks, but then again I’m no magician and I thought you would like some extra pics of the different areas of this MOC. The First is the Coruscant skyline. I knew it wouldn’t be very visible (as it would only be in the background of one or two shots) when I built it, so I didn’t put too much detail into it.

Here is the Tatooine set. I know you don’t see too much more here in this pic but hey, enjoy it while you can.

A Full view of the Mustifar immolation. Hey Goldman, lay off the trans cones!

I hope you all enjoyed this little “MOC O’ Mine”. Please leave a review as this is the first time I put some real effort into a MOC and really need your input (don’t you hate it when people beg?) Now that I’ve gotten this out of my system, we can get back to the fun stuff with the APMS. Till next time true believers! May the force be… you know the rest.

Finally, a really great starwars creation. I especially loved the story. It seems like it could have actually come out a starwars novel. It didn't, did it?

I review from before was lost, so I'll try to keep this short. Excellent build with a great story to go with it! One of the best I've seen. Greatness!

Very well done - I read every word, which is extremely rare, & nicely portrayed too ;)

Interesting Moc. Hmm we have the same initials. Nobody would refer to me as Chris Phipson, but somebody might call you Chris P.

(from A galaxy not so far far away... actually its kind-of far but not like really far more like that midpoint between far and not so far like if you take a blanket, right in the middle of the blanket is that mid-point)

Wow thats pretty nice I like how you made it seem so real with the detailed words and things... you should write a book.

I really love this type of lament, and you combined so many different vignettes to make for one origianl and simply beautiful story. I posted one a lot like this, but it's not near as compelling. 50000/5

Normally I'm not a big fan of Star Wars stuff, there's just too much of it. But this is simply awsome. The author side of me loves the way you potrayed Vader, and the sets are awsome too. A++!

Very cool to see a Star Wars MOC delving deeper into, dare I say it, emotions and feelings. But I always imagined Vader's crib to have "all work and no play make Anni a dull boy" scribbled all over the walls...

WOW........... you really capture vaders thoughts.. i really like it, a simple vignette but transmite a lot of things. The fact that Anakin has turn to the dark side for Padme, to save her, its really sad......... PD:cool!!!!!!!! :) :(

More Coruscant skyline! That was the best part! But then, I find microscale cityscapes much more interesting than Star Wars. I know, I know, you SW geeks find my lack of faith disturbing.
