Swallow
This is a Dark Alliance Swallow, my 4th MOC to present you!
Story
If you thought the Dark Alliance only attacks with Drone Raiders, your wrong.
Under special circumstances, the vast squadrons of Drone Raiders are supported by equally vast squadrons of Swallows.
Swallows are really fearsome fighters. Armed with 4 20mm machineguns and a total of 12 guided, medium-range AFMs (anti-fighter missiles), these beasts are really a pain in the butt when it comes to close combat.
The Model
The idea of a fighter called swallow, more or less roughly based on the bird, lurked around my head for about 3 or 4 months now, but I never came close to a start, until yesterday.
Followers of the mocpages might have stumbled over a rather similar ship: the Zeus, build by my namesake Thorben Mokry.
And yes, his creation gave me the right inspiration, or better base, to start and finish the swallow of.
So, after an hour of building, the final result is here to show, and if I had the necessary pieces, I'd totally love to build her with real LegoŽ.
btw: I know it looks a bit batplane-like, and I know I don't care. Compare a bat with a swallow and you'll see why... ;-)

 same as the profile picture. To bad that the trans-dark-black is missing the "trans" part... or maybe it's a metallized windscreen... hey, who said there's no wind in space?
