About this creation

In the same fantasy universe as my recent MOC In The Hall Of The Mountain King here is a little tavern that the locals can meet at safely to enjoy a turkey leg and some of the homebrewed ale and wine. I placed the shields there to represent the local groups who frequent the place. Kings and thieves often share a table. They all like those turkey legs.

Once I got the shields up I felt the upper walls were too bare. I made the walls high as it's a hot place in the summer. Before air conditioning builders used to put in high ceilings for the hot air to collect, making the floor a bit cooler. I started to add some other weapons and trophies. You still see restaurants do that to this day. Mostly they don't have to kill the dragon themselves. They get the decorations from a service. The only service here is from our beautiful hostess.

I really enjoy the various shields and trophies from the hunts on the walls. What a simple, but powerful touch!! Makes it seem like an old lodge!

Say Garth, I found something interesting only that may relate.... Theres a band called apolcalyptica and they did an interesting rendtition of hall of the mountain king. Check out the video at www.krab.com I think you'll be impressed. also try the song I dont care. if you care?

Very clever design. The only suggestions would be to have the floor and walls different colours, and to tile over the tops of the table (those studs stick out in a big way). Again, a beautiful fireplace. Lee.

That's a pretty awesome tavern. All the shields and weapons on the wall remind me of those overstocked viking halls. Great attention to detail, from the patrons to the fireplace fence made of sextants. Nice job!
