Sunride
Sunride: the hottest mech around. It's fast, it's a killer... and it's coming to get you!
About this creation
Magnetizer: the album by Sunride.

Sunride is a kind of armed/ racemech I wanted to do. To make it look fast I first tried on as much wings as I could. But the colours clashed and the feet didn't work out as well. The wheels were my second attempt and they came out great!

The wheels at the heels (mmmm...sounds good) where a good help at stability. My first idea with them was to put the little wheels up front, but they couldn't support the rest of the mech. Still, it's an idea for a Mark II...

Just a few things I'm quite proud of: the headdesign aka piratesboat.A new style of hand.

The third wheel, I really love what I did with those fins.

A closer look at "the feet".

Racing mode.

Again, much inspiration found at the Race mechs by Nunoyo Bizznizz! Also, check out Matt S. and his Crimson Diamond and Sho Fukamachi and his S-47 "race ninja". Both are MOC's inspired on this one. What a wonderfull legoworld this is!

Kinetica, the PS2 game Sam Parkhouse tells us about. to be totally honoust I've never heard of the game before. But you're right Sam, the resemblances are stunning!

I always saw this one as the main pic of some Mecha group, and thought: wow, this looks amazing! Well, I could never find it....till now! I love the usage of pieces, especially the green ones on the feet, in general the combination of green and orange. This little transformation is right the little extra touch. All in all great work!

so this is what the main pic of mecha mania is! a new light is shed upon the world! really cool mech, I like the excessive use of x-pod parts, and you pulled off the red and green color scheme without making it look like Christmas, which is pretty hard (at least for me). Great job!

Oh yeah, I also recently posted a new racing mech (it's technically a hardsuit but what the hey) of my own and I'd appreciate it if you took a quick look -> http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/121560#reviews Again, great racing mech here. Pieces ~ Nowhereman

Seriously? I have seriously not commented on this yet!? For shame! You have my apologies Gio, I didn't realize that I'd never commented on this before. This is if not one of the best, then certainly the most unique and unorthodox racing mech out there. The genius piece usage as well as the unique third wheel idea all come together in a singular Giovanni experience unlike any other! Ok maybe that was a bit cheesy, but that doesn't change the fact that this is one of my favorite creations from my definite favorite building genre. Really a terrific creation. Keep on building ~ Nowhereman

Ěncredibly inventive useof the otherwise unusable X-Pod lids, and if you ask me, this guy looks like he jumped straight out of that PS2 game Kinetica. For anyone who doesn't know what Kinetica is, look at this guy. He sums it up perfectly. 5/5!

Sheer brilliance! Great concept + unique part usage = awesome!! I love how it's retained a free hand, maybe to grab objects or structure to help turn corners and avoid obstacles. Did I mention it's brilliant?

Nice use of those x-pod lids. They're a hassle to use for the most part. The real great thing about this MOC is that I could immediately tell what it was supposed to be and do from the first picture.

Original as can be. The first time I've seen a boat headed mech and I love it! The wheel feet and arm are great and the left 'hand' arm is a nice asymmetrical touch. I saw this in your preview but another review was definitely deserved.
