A proud Jalis knight who lurks in the depths of the Forest of Silence. He has lived for several centuries.
About this creation
In the deepest depths of the Forest of Silence. In "the Darkness within the darkness". Further than even the great beast Wennbar dares tread, lives the legendary "Golden Knight" Gorl. The story of the knight goes back almost centuries. The tale is of three brothers, all Jalis knights, who searched endlessly for the fabled "Lilies of life". Anyone who drinks the nectar will surely live forever. The trio searched as far as they dared untill one day... They came across the ancient place in the direct center of the Forest of Silence. But there was one problem. To the brothers' dismay, the flowers only contained enough nectar for one. Without even thinking, the tree turned on each other in a bloody fight for the Lilies. The two brothers were soon struck down by the strongest of the three, the eldest brother, Gorl. From then on, Gorl has guarded the Lilies for untold centuries, killing any who dare tresspass on his ground. He had never known defeat and protected his treasure for a great deal of time. That was untill, the day two bold adventures came in search of a certain gem of power...
I got the idea to buld Gorl from Crow's suggestion to build a few of the guardians of the gems. Obviously, I accepted the request and build one of my favorite guardians. Gorl is also the first "boss" they encounter. Speaking of boss, they have confirmed that a Deltora video game will be realeased into the states! Though the only things I know are that it won't be any time soon, the characters look WAAAAAY different that what I've shown you and so far it's only for the DS.
A glory shot of Gorl. The only thing I'm not proud of is the fact that he has stubby, little arms. Otherwise it cam out better than I had planned. I used that because it actually looks "goldier" than yellow. Yes I know, I has very bad english :P
Back shot, nothing too complicated here.
Helmet shot, probably my favorite piece. It was also the first piece I built. The whole thing was actually sort of a "build something around this" type of scenario.
Gorl's sword. Not too flashy, but as you can see, I have the Topaz inlaid in the hilt so you can give me an A for attention to detail.
And just so you don't ask questions, his arms are VERY poseable. So are his legs. These were taken from my "Project Blue" biomechanical enforcer. They work pretty well, even though Gorl is topheavy, he can actually stand on his own.
The battle begins! I really love this shot because it looks just like the fight scene. Jasmine sat this one out. Wanna know what happens? WELL READ THE BOOKS! Gorl may look tall, but he's really about four feet taller than Barda. Though I think the best part about the shot is that it wasn't Photoshopped! I was lucky enough to get that natural lighting effect.
And last but not least, GORL! In the...uhh...armor?! I've been needing to take more and more pictures myself so I'm really sorry for the quality. Note, the bright glow isn't the poor quality of the shot, it's actually the Topaz.
Well, thats all! I'm currently working on more Deltora Quest stuff so keep checking back! And thanks to Crow for the suggestion!!
Thanks For Looking!!

I really like that you made something that has to deal with Deltora. XD I really like how you did the helmet and the armour. I couldn't even try to build him! :) Can you build the Topaz Dragon? (I COMPLETLY forgot its name! That's why I'm re-reading the series). |

Cool. My only complaint is the arms. Besides that, it is good. Now, could you make the 4 sisters (it's been a long time since I read the books) from the last part. I like the rest of this, besides the arms. |
