An alien starcraft.

While working on an upcoming large moc, I needed a break from the piles of greys I'd been using. I wasn't feeling up to a new Jade Empire moc, which would have used sand green, but i did have a bag of regular green which I rarely touch. After tinkering with some curvey wedge slopes, I came up with the concept of an alien fighter, something I don't think we see enough of in Lego mocs.
This ship utilizes green and tan, with trans orange highlighting on the engines and hull. It's a color scheme used by the X-Pod bot, but no space factions. Perfect for an alien design.
Everyone likes to make up their own subthemes for space mocs, and I can already picture some larger ships in this style, but I'm not sure I'll jump in the pool with a new theme when there are already a ton of great themes to build in. Time will tell.
Please let me know what you think! :)

I usually put my mocs into images of space, but for this one I placed the model over a planet surface flying toward a large alien structure. The engines are as flamin' as Keith Goldman.

The side subengine pods are adjustable, from the flight position you see above to a landing position you see here.

I like the curvy, lobed look of the ship. This really wouldn't have been possible without the curvy wedges we've been getting the last couple years.

You get a peek of the trans orange peeking from the inards of the ship. I like to imagine an alien glow emanating from the ship as it weaves through space.

The cockpit does open, and there's room inside for a standard fig. I've yet to come up with a good alien pilot for the ship. With a side panel removed, you can see some of the cockpit detail.
