Ah, the flash. how I hate thee. but, you do tend to illuminate. Here is a profile of the legs, showing range of motion. 
A properly illuminated shot showing forward guns plus the jump-jet intakes, then the brainey-whatsit. Sorry it's so fuzzy, but you gotta get in really close to get the detail, and I'm pretty sure the camera hated this distance.
Again, fuzzy as all getout, but it does give an idea of what it would be like to face up against this. perhaps I should have done a Gonk's Eye View shot.
