Congratulations to my worthless, I mean worthy opponent!
We’re sorry it took so long to bring an end to this whole fiasco but we had a little “hanging chad” issue that needed to be dealt with.
Now all the votes have been counted, the bribe checks were cashed and Shannon performed his… “favors” for some of the voters and we have declared a winner! Hooray for Shannon!
O.K., let’s see a show of hands. How many of you KNEW this was gonna happen?
PUT YOUR DAMN HANDS DOWN!
Now, where was I? Oh yes, excuses and smack talk. Sorry, I got a little distracted. Mrs. Ocean was trying to call me away from the computer again. I know you’re wondering “which way is he gonna go? Wife or mother.” The answer is… yes. Of course having to admit defeat is really hard for me. What, no I’m not gonna cap myself. I just had an itch. Ocean didn’t beat me THAT bad.
On to the excuses!
First off, I have a real job. Shannon, a word of advise. If someone asks you what you do for a living and in the opening sentence you have to say "I Blow"... Might be time to change jobs. Just a thought. Now, with my chosen profession, I don’t have a lot of time to spend on my builds.
I need to keep my eyes peeled, making sure nothing gets past me.
My constant vigil helps preserve the peace and keeps you and your property safe.
My never ending struggle keeps the scum off the street so you can sleep well at night.
All that being said, Shannon made a valid point on his good effort award moc. Strictly counting the votes, I actually won! However, going by the rules, people needed to vote for BOTH mocs for their vote to count...
O.K. that’s enough of the excuses. We ALL know Shannon won this thing hands down! So a big (non sarcastic) “Good Job” to my good friend Shannon!
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the community for getting behind us on this and having a good time in the process. For the four of you who didn’t understand the “spirit” of this “competition”, I feel sorry for you.
For the rest of us, thank you for joining in our attempt to break up the monotony of moc pages. I hope we inspired some of you to come up with new and interesting ways to enjoy this hobby. Again, thanks to everyone. Later ~ Chris.

I hate having to explain this but there are about 3 of you (you know who you are. If this doesn't apply to you then you don't need to worry) who don't have a sense of humor. You're daughter must have a good sense of humor. This is hilarious with all of the guys in the background. Almost like a scene from Reno 911. I've already made a call for a round 2, so we can have an american flag flaunting, but se-la-vi. Very enjoyable MOC & Competition. |

Well, it seems your powers of observation are strikingly similar to my own. As far as the competition goes, hold your head up high! Despite Ocean's despicable dirty deeds of "favors" and bribery (by the way Shannon...yes, a check will be just fine) you managed to run a tight race. And judging by your magnanimus attitude even in the face of defeat, I'm sure YOU would never stoop to such unscrupulous tactics...but let's have a rematch just to be certain!!! |
