I had originally intended for this hangar to be under the Gauss Platform Orion, but I changed my mind when I discovered how large it was going to be. I was first inspired by the two grey arches used for the large openings.
About this creation
Heres the Corsair rising to exit level. The little dish on the lower level pointed at the ship is a tractor beam that guides the ship to the desired level
This is the outside of the hangar, with some pipes and other little goodies running along it.
This is my favorite shot. because you can see all of the openings. When I came up with the idea for the two smaller openings made of white arches. I felt like the monitor from Halo, when he says, "I am such a genius!".
And heres the ship itself, doesn't look like much of a threat does it. Well, thats because its a transport ship. But when you see hundreds of these ships flying towards your planet, each full to the brim with armed soldiers, don't say I didn't warn you.
