I'm back and ready to go.
About this creation
Hello again everyone. I have returned for a brief moment of time to share with you my latest and probably last version of the Gattaca starfighter. Over the past 4 years it has evolved into this, and while not significantly different from the last Gattaca update, I have provided you with other goodies to look at as well, which include the little rovers and the landing pad. Also I think the photo quality is superior to the last version. This page's format may be a little strange because I sort of wanted to do a few things differently. I tried to make this page as Firefox and IE friendly as possible, as the two both show MOCpages differently.
MOC added May 4th, 2008.
We start off with the entire MOC:

We move on to see the pilot of the craft, the maintenance crewman, and the flight commander (Admiral Spaceship). We also see the storage bunker which is similar to the hanger in my last moc, the Prowler Battle Tank

Now we have the rovers. As you can see the rocket pods on one of them are the same as the ones on the Gattaca. Most of my latest mocs have these sorts of rockets on them, and I have also noticed that more and more people have been using them lately. Give some cheers to Kyle Vrieze who I believe was the first one to use such a design.

Now we are onto the feature presentation: the Gattaca III starfighter. Originally I deemed this PCS, but now I don't really care which genre of Lego themes it fits into. All I know is that it looks cool. As you will probably note there are two blue decals used on the nose. These are actual Lego decals that I cut out and stuck on.

Lastly we have the updated underside which was probably the most major change. I remember someone reviewing the last one saying the underside was dull, and that was true. Landing gear is the same as before. Also we have a group shot showing two other Gattacas with different weapon packages (anti-tank cannons on one and air-to-air missiles on the other). Last but not least... we have the pilot ladder to access the ship, I figured I'd put this pic up in case anyone was even remotely interested in the design.

That is all folks, hope you enjoyed.
~Jon

The fighter itself is great, but you also gave a bunch of other things, and that equals complete awesomeness! - Hector |

I really liked the step-ladder onto the ship, and wouldn't have thought to build it like that. I love it when I find out something new. Nice build! |

I really love the ship. It has this "Legoloverman" feel, with the grey and blue. I also am staring at the ladder, very clever. I really can't think of anything else, so that would be it for today. |

Now how did I miss this beauty? It is a lovely design, and I really like the idea of putting her in context like this - helps 'make' the creation. Lee. |

The fighter itself is worth the 5, but then you go and add the background and... nice. Later ~ Chris. |

It's a nice ship, but the little dio to go around it adds so much to the presentation -- I should start doing that more often. |

I love the scene! I would give the fighter itself a four, but the scene just makes it worth so much more than a 5! I love how the color scheme of the fighter carries into the building and landing pad! Nice job. |

Very nice! I believe that's the best way I've seen yet to attach that cockpit and it's so simple a fix I don't know why it never occurred to me. This MOC is just all around superior craftsmanship. |

Wow... the jet, with its new grey color scheme and wing-mounted bombs and rockets, looks much more "military" than the previous versions. The rovers are also pretty neat, that ladder design was really creative, and the diorama tied it all together very well. Awesome job. |

Great work Jon, the improved photography is definitely worth it. I just realized after reading your homepage that we both share the miserable workload of premed and bio (and I have a minor in a pseudo-philosophy area). Fun stuff eh? |

This is WONDERFUL! A beautiful, clean MOC with some great details. I love the pattern work in the landing pad especially. The ship is quite nice, too. Wish I had the skills to layout the page as you did - that was a great way to present it...sign me up for the seminar on page layouts! Great job!!! |
