One of my firts big NXT projects was a bot based on Gear Hailfire Droid Wheels (part no: x784), (part of set # 4481-1: TECHNIC Hailfire Droid). The bot was for testing all the possebilities of the LEGO Minstorms NXT (part no: 53788) and it sensors.

I used Krystian Majewski and NXTétude ideas and gave the bot Radar sight using the ultrasound sensor (part no:53792).
I allso added a non LEGO wireless AXIS 207 web cam to the NXT bot. This gave him spy capabilities...

I had provided a buffer around the bot made of technic LEGO bricks with a bumper (part no: 70961). When the buffer hit something while the bot was driving a touch sensor (part no: 53793) registered the collision. In a situation that this occured, the NXT was programmed to stop or to move in an opposite direction.

The bot is very flexible and can turn around, move forwards and backwards.

At the bottom of the bot the 9v LEGO battery box with pin holes and red switch (part no: x1686cx1) for the camera is attached. This gives the bot great stability!

Allso assembled at the bottom: the sensor that registered the buffer collisions together with the light sensor (part no: 55969), which prevent the bot falling off a table or helps the bot following a line.
