I will never understand Americans' obsession with SUVs.

Most impressive and well thought-out. Did you model it after any specific vehicle, or is this more the "generic" rounded truck shape we see in most modern SUVs? I agree with Nannan in that white stars would make the pattern pop more. If you have some small white "flower" pieces, those work great.

SUVs are okay, I mean, I had a Chrysler Pacifica once and it was a dream! It's mini-vans I can't stand! BLEEEAAAUGH! This is nice though, and to tell you the truth, it looks pretty good without stars! Keep up the good work!

Nice MOC Sean. Americans like SUVs for a couple of reasons. First the height of the drivers seat compared to cars as well as the mass of the vehicle give the impression of safety (valid or not). They are also seen as status symbols since generally they are more expensive than cars. By the way Shannon my dad has taken his SUV off road several times.

Yeah, I agree with Shannon Young; I live out in the sticks as well and they're perfect on and off road cars. Anyway, this is a great idea, the colors are awesome. =)

At least you yanks can claim to have invented SUV-obsession. Here in Australia they're everywhere too because we've got no culture of our own so we just copy yours-that's even sadder! Anyway, three cheers for topical sculpture on MOCpages!

You live in New York City, correct? Of course you wouldn't understand. If you lived in the sticks like me, it would make a bit more sense. What I don't understand is people who buy SUVs that will never take them off-road, which is ostensibly what they were designed for. (Yes, I own an SUV, and yes, I've taken it 4-bying into the mountains.)

I've really liked SUVs. I'm more of a capital flagship person myself. Ah, in the cold reaches of space... That's the life. Hey Sean, did you make this as for a request or just cause' you were bored? Good day

This is the kind of thing we need more of on MocPages. Something that actually means something.

Great MOC, I have two SUV's and love them both. Why you wonder is there a obsession? Some are about just having the biggest and best. Some because they can have it ie $$$$. For me personally. It's to pull a boat, camper, race car trailer and haul whatever I want whenever I want. Winter, plowing threw snow in the country and on the farm or Summer going off to play with other toys.

Nice little MOC, Sean - Simple and affective message. A strong symbol of our egos, environmental callousness, and our affluence.

Hey Sean, have you considered putting some "stars" in the blue? Some 1X1 plates may work

Nice color scheme! I also like the wheels because you weren't just lazy putting on regular wheel (I'm not saying theres anything wrong with regular wheels though.)

STFU jack. Very good moc, and it makes a strong political point. PS jack, I doupt a moc will start a war, nor do you have any weaponry.

Its great. The color pattern and design are perfect. Is it symbolic of the US auto industry's fall? Thats what I think of when I see it. SUV's....
