About this creation
One of the big problems with doing really close ups is that the perspective gets distorted. This is due to the curvature of the lens. In the first photograph you can see that the tree looks like it is leaning to the right while the building is basically straight.

The first step is to split the photo into a few layers using the magic lasso. I did three layers. 1) the tree 2) the minifig 3) the area where the wall is darker

Once the layers are created they can be individually rotated (the tree) or enlarged (the minifig) or recolored (the dark wall) using the color dropper tool

The reason that I enlarged the minifig (other than it looks cool) is because it ghosted when I turned the tree a little bit. Having a bigger mini-fig covered up the edges.

The next step would be to blur the edges of the minfig so that it didn't look as artificial. Maybe I'll figure that out next. There is also a perspective tool within photoshop that is better at correcting things, but I'm not quite there yet. Baby Steps...

Until Next Time...

Ahhhhh...the wonders of Photoshop. I love that dang program like it was one of my children. One of my children that makes my butt look way smaller when I need it to, that is. Now all you need is your Wacom pen tablet to complete your techie ensemble and you'll be havin' as much fun as me.

Wow, this has only been reviewed twice? I, unfortunately, do not know how to use the lasso tool. When I do learn I will know where to look for more techniques! Great idea. C ya~ElNickre

Hmmm... Thanks for the lesson. I have Gimp, and am just starting to use it. I might keep some of this in mind. Oh, and Chris, is it even passable for them to look good?

(Raises hand) Umm, Professor Eggplant sir? How can I make my Wrth0gg look good with photoshop? Answer: You can't. Thanks B. Despite the jokes, I actually learned something here. Later ~ Chris.
