I appologize for the lack of a thumbnail pic. The mocpages uploader is giving me a headache.
Ep3 kicks off the action with a space battle in the Unin system. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm only going to get half done before I go...
Quite against my will, it seems that this will be the last episode for some time to come. I'm an American living overseas, and I'm returning to the USA for the summer to work and put money away towards collage. That means that for the next three months I'll be thousands of miles away from my Lego collection, and I'm quite ticked at the idea of leaving this series unfinished. I didn't know my parents had this trip planned when I started it, or I might have done something else. It's too late now.
I'll get back in the middle of september, and I promise to finish Nova Velocity then. I never leave anything unfinished if I can help it. I've worked out the story to 10 episodes, so there's only 7 and a half left to do. ;)
And again, Unin on the first page. It's the last time, I hope...
I don't really have anything serious against pirates, but the accent is funny.
Although I have only a demo of Comic life, I circumvented the watermark to get the fancy lettering. I simply made the letters I wanted in a white section, and took a screenshot which I could then add into my comic via photoshop. :)
I did a lot of playing with angles in this episode, trying to give the reader a sense of the disorientation of a space battle.
And that is unfortunately the last page for a good three months. It's an awful place to stop eh, with Gold Squadron in dire streights. I had intended to do this whole episode before I left. But I've been so busy packing and cleaning up in preperation for the trip that I barely found time to do these five pages.
It's too bad, I had thought of making a sequel once I was done with this series. I kinda forgot that I'm about old enough to set off on my own and I won't have time to build anymore. I had planned to start bricklinking and collect enough pieces to build a SHIP. Looks like in about a year I'll go into a 'dark age' as they say. Maybe once I'm settled down and old enough to be called an AFOL I'll return to Lego and finish all my plans. :)
EDIT: I must appologize for not adding a date. My departure date was June 2nd. My return date is September 18th. I can use the internet, but without access to my collection that's pretty useless to my comic. :P
I'm sorry to haven't look closely at that before. It's SO COOL !!!
A lot of work, without a doubt !
I love the humour, the presentation, everything is very well done. My heart goes to the pirate ship with a boat hull, it's absolutely sweet !
I'll read the other parts soon as I can take the time to look at all the details.
Fantastic work !
